Today’s review will be on a new launch from Lotus Herbals. This range of lipsticks has been named “Butter Matte” lipsticks. There are around 15 shades in this range. I had previously reviewed “Pink Precious.” Now, it’s the turn of the shade “Sandstone.” Let’s get started with the review now!

My Experience with Lotus Makeup Ecostay Butter Matte Lip Color Sandstone:

This lipstick comes in a silver cardboard packaging with purple accents to it. The box has matte finish to it and a lot of details are printed on the box. The actual lipstick is a shiny silver chubby bullet with some purple floral print on the cap. The twist mechanism works very well. The top part of the cap is made of plastic so you can see the shade inside. The packaging is beautiful and I love it.

“BM 09 Sandstone” is the kind of shade that I never knew I would like, let alone love so much! I’ve never been a n*de lipstick kind of girl. It was all about bright and bold shades for me, but this little baby changed the lipstick game for me. “Sandstone” is such a beautiful rust orange n*de brown shade! It is the most gorgeous lip shade ever! I have been reaching this lipstick so often that I have kind of forgotten to use my brighter lipsticks!

This is the second n*de lipstick that I’m obsessed with (the first one being ‘N*de Shine’ again by Lotus Herbals). These two are the best n*de lipsticks out there that would suit all skin tones. The texture is simply mind blowing! It literally glides on like butter on the lips! Plus, it is extremely pigmented. It claims to give full pigmentation with one stroke but I’d say, it gives about 90% of the pigmentation. You only need two coats for 100% pigmented lips.

The formula is moisturizing and feels very comfortable on the lips. It isn’t 100% matte, but a creamy matte finish. The lipstick initially gives a creamy finish, but as time passes by, it settles into a creamy matte finish. I just love how comfortable it is to wear! You don’t need a lip balm underneath at all.

The staying power is around 5 hours. It does fade from the inner part of your lips after a meal, but that’s okay. It does last through the talking and little meals pretty well though.
