My Experience with Lotus Makeup Persian Pink Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour SPF 20:

This lipstick comes in a metallic pinkish cardboard packaging, which bears the details like product description, shade name and name, manufacturing and expiry dates, etc. This outer cardboard packaging is quite strong. Inside this outer packaging comes a beautiful rose gold lipstick tube wrapped up in a pretty satiny pink pouch. The packaging is so beautiful and girly as well.

It looks so luxurious and feminine. This long and slender lipstick tube has a mirror finish. The lipstick body is not color-coded, so I need to check at its base for the shade name. The tube has a long cap indicating the brand name. The cap fits securely and never come off while carrying it around, it is fit for travel purposes. The shape of the lipstick bullet is a little different. It is round in shape and I prefer applying it using a brush rather than directly from the bullet.

The shade “Persian Pink” is a soft frosty pink shade. This is a pretty everyday shade. Though, I do not prefer frosty lip colors much, this one looks really beautiful. I love wearing this lipstick these days. It is quite different from the usual pinks that I own. It brightens up my face and gives a natural look to the entire look. This shade has fine silver-colored micro shimmers which are not prominent. The shimmers are very finely milled and do not appear chunky. The lipstick looks velvety initially, sets to a perfect matte finish on the lips. The lipstick comes with SPF-20 and that makes it fit to be used out in the sun. The brand claims that this lipstick is 100% vegan.

The pigmentation of this particular shade has disappointed me. The shade is quite sheer. It does not give that opaque finish even upon layering. Though, it gives a semi-opaque finish with multiple swipes making it wearable for me, but this lipstick will not perfectly hide pigmented lips.

Talking about the texture of the lipstick, the formula is nice & smooth. But, it is not very creamy & definitely needs a lip balm underneath to make the application easier as it causes a little dagging of the lips. But being a matte lipstick, it requires proper exfoliation of the lips as it clings to the dry patches of the lips. The lipstick does not have a heavily transferring formula. So, it does not transfer much. It feels so light & comfortable on the lips. It does not have that thick & waxy texture. The formula of the lipstick is quite moisturizing initially for some 2-3 hours but my lips become dry after that. I feel that it does not provide any hydration to the lips as the product claims.

Also, my lips start feeling dry after a full meal & I need a balm to keep my lips moisturized and nourished. It has no significant smell, so it will not bother those sensitive noses, which is a pro of this lipstick. The lipstick does not bleed or smudge at all. The lipstick stays at place without any budging. But, I noticed a little feathering of this lipstick after a full meal.

The lipstick lasts on my lips for some 5 hours or so on my lips even with constant sipping and a little snacking, but the color fades away gradually in the mean time. But after a full heavy meal, the color gets ripped off completely and settles into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick leaves a beautiful light pink stain on the lips, which almost looks like a pink lip stain.
