Lush Bohemian Soap Review

Lush Bohemian Soap Review

Hello Everyone!

I am back after a long time with another review.  I got very busy with my camping work this season and hence had no time to write, but I somehow managed to read all the reviews everyday on IMBB. 😀 So, I am done with my camp-work, back to the city, to my house, all happy and relaxed.

Lush Bohemian Soap Review

Last month, before I left for my work, I went shopping to buy some random stuff for myself. I visited the Lush store then to get another bar of Lemslip Butter as I am a huge fan of lemon soaps, but the SA told me that Lemslip Butter has been discontinued. He then pointed out at a big bar of soap which was the Lush Bohemian. He said it is almost like Lemslip Butter and suggested me to take it.

Bohemian Soap 1

Product Description:

When Lush gets lemons, we make our simple, but beautifully effective mind-clearing lemon soap! A customer and inventor favourite for years, the palm-free soap base and lemon oil are perfect for cleaning and toning the skin. Lemon juice is a natural astringent, perfect for oily skin and to balance skin’s moisture; no more troubled skin! Named for creative types, the bright, uplifting citrus scent is meant to stimulate creative streaks. It certainly helped us create this sudsing masterpiece.

My Take on Lush Bohemian Soap:

Bohemian soap has a very pleasant and mild fragrance of lemon. It is really not overpowering. The subtle lemony smell leaves your body in less than an hour. It makes the skin squeaky clean. It is said to be good for oily skin. It dries out the skin a little bit and hence it would not be a good pick for people with dry skin. The product claims to be mind-clearing after the shower, but I don’t think it really is. I am the same old lazy girl being seduced by my bed even after coming out of the shower, so it doesn’t really do the “waking-you-up” job well. It lathers pretty well and does not melt away like most Lush soaps. It does not have any exfoliating particles like the Lemslip Butter. It is a plain and a simple cloudy-looking soap. It also lasts long unlike the other Lush soaps which finish off in less than a month. Some people say it helps in clearing out the back-acne, but it hasn’t done anything like that to me.

The soap somehow looks like it has crushed ice-cubes in it. It a beautiful-looking light yellow soap.  It looks very fresh and pretty.  The color and the lemony scent kind of lifts up my mood when I enter the shower.

Pros of Lush Bohemian Soap:

  • Makes the skin squeaky clean.
  • Has that mild lemony fragrance.
  • Does not melt away too soon.
  • Lathers well.
  • Leaves the skin refreshed.

Cons of Lush Bohemian Soap:

  • I would have loved it if the scent stayed on for a longer time.

Verdict:

It is not a favourite soap of mine but if you love lemony things and lemony scents, then try this out. It’s fresh and makes your skin squeaky clean. I only wish that the smell would linger a bit longer. I would love to have that tart, refreshing lemon scent with me all day.  Its a perfect soap for summers!
