Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo
Hello everyone! ๐
Today Iโll be reviewing one of the best shampoos that I have used till date, Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo. I am a huge โLushieโ and Iโve always been a big fan of their soaps and cleansers and this time when I was at the Lush store, I thought Iโd pick a shampoo and asked the SA for a shampoo that would reduce frizz and make my hair smooth and shiny, he suggested me to go for this.
Price: 530 INR for 100g

Product Description: Beer shampoo, really? For volume, softness and shine we proudly serve our tremendously effective pub-inspired shampoo. Cynthia Sylvia Stout is made with organic vegan stout beer from a local brewery, which contains protein to give your hair weight, smoothness and gloss. It’s excellent for hair that tends to go frizzy in damp or humid environments. Cynthia smells delicious, just like a brandy, stout and lemon cocktail and even makes curly hair unbelievably shiny and bouncy once again. Give your thirsty hair a drink of this.
Haha! Love their descriptions for their products! Quite catchy, isnโt it?
About Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo
I was really interested in this because it basically is a Beer shampoo. I have always heard of Beer doing wonders to de-frizz hair, to add shine and health. The shampoo smells kinda โBeerโ and not many would really like it. I sometimes feel it smells like some medical syrup. ๐ It cleanses the hair very well and lathers well too. It adds shine to the hair, makes it glossy and to an extent helps in de-frizzing hair. If your hair is really frizzy then depending on this would be pointless but yes, this does tame frizz to an extent. It weighs down the hair so if you have really thin hair and if you are looking for some volume then this might not be for you. It in all is a good conditioning shampoo because of the excellent ingredient list but Iโve never skipped using my conditioner. I have an oily scalp and I wash my hair every alternate day and I never felt that this made my hair oily. I do have hair fall and this didnโt aggravate my hair fall condition nor did it improve it and I donโt think it would treat flaky scalp as well.
Pros of Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo
- Adds a lot of shine to the hair and makes it glossy.
- Love the ingredient list, all the products make hair healthy.
- Smoothens frizz to an extent.
- Lathers well
- Cleanses well
- Makes hair very manageable
Cons of Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo
- Though it really works for my hair and most of the time I feel it is worth every penny, it is still 530 bucks and thatโs pricey!
- May not be suitable for thin hair as it weighs down hair.
- Some may find the smell too overpowering.
Verdict:
This is one shampoo Iโd love to use regularly. It finishes off pretty soon but I must say it is one shampoo that has worked well on my hair and I will definitely never choose to not use this.
