Lush Don’t Look At Me Fresh Face Mask Review

While at Lush, I found the store was stashed with new masks in their aisle. Sitting pretty at a corner, was the most eye-popping blue mask. I could not help but smile at its name – Don’t Look At Me. With its vibrant color, the mask would make anyone take a second look at it.

My Experience with Lush Don’t Look At Me Fresh Face Mask:

The mask is packaged in black recycled plastic tub. I found the consistency of the mask to be semi-thick. It has lemony fruity fragrance as it contains lemon and grapefruit. Tiny rice granules provide a mild gritty texture. I found the mask application very easy due to its consistency. I liked that the mask did not make my skin itch or tingle. It usually starts drying in 10-15 minutes. The mask contains ground rice for providing gentle skin exfoliation. Once the mask is semi-dried, I scrub it off my face. I liked that the exfoliation was not very harsh and provided deep cleaning.

I have a dry skin and clay masks tend to dry out my face further. However this was not the case with this mask even though it contains kaolin clay. The kaolin clay is useful for absorbing oil and dirt from the face. It contains murumuru butter for providing moisturization. However with my dry skin type, I do need to apply face cream afterwards. I have been using this mask twice a week and I have noticed improvement in my complexion. This is leading me to believe that the mask has been effective. It makes my facial skin feel very fresh. It contains lemon for improving skin tone and removing blemishes.

It contains all fresh ingredients and hence comes with a limited shelf life. I usually keep it refrigerated. However it is always safe to use it within its timeframe. The major con about this mask was the blue dye in the mask. Though the color makes it very eye-catching, it makes me little concerned to put a product with artificial colorant. It contains organic silken tofu to soften skin whose effects were not very visible on my face. Grapefruit oil and neroli oil provide antiseptic properties towards any bumps on my skin. The lemony fruity fragrance is mild and I find it refreshing.

Cons of Lush Don’t Look At Me Fresh Face Mask:

• Pricey.
• Contains artificial blue colorant.
• Did not notice visible effects from the presence of silken tofu content.
• Has a limited shelf life.

Would I Repurchase Lush Don’t Look At Me Fresh Face Mask?
I found this mask effective to use, but the presence of color is making me hesitant to use it. I might buy it again though it would not always top my list.
