Lush Gentil Lentil Shampoo Bar Review

Lush Gentil Lentil Shampoo Bar

Using Lush products is a luxury for me as most of the times I’m on budget. So I enjoy shampoos and skin care products from lush. Gentil Lentil is one of my favourite shampoo bars in lush solid bar shampoos range. Other variants I have tried are New hair shampoo, Seanik shampoo,‘ trichomania and Karma Komba.

Gentle Lentil Shampoo Stop hair going mental, use Gentle Lentil!

A decoction of lentils makes a fantastic ingredient for this beautiful solid shampoo. It’s suitable for most hair types, but is particularly good to soften long, tangled or flyaway hair. Gentle Lentil’s mild formula also makes it a great choice for children and they’ll love its delicious vanilla ice-cream fragrance, which is the same as that used in our best-selling Butterball bath bomb.

Availability: Exclusively online and in our Poole shop.

My Take on Lush Gentil Lentil Shampoo Bar:

Before introducing to Lush I had very very dry, frizzy, harsh, damaged hair. This was due to three rebounding sessions and constant flat ironing. I abused my hair for which I regret to this day. But Trichomania, New hair shampoo and Gentil Lentil has worked on my hair well.

This is a light yellow handmade shampoo bar, cut into a piece of 100 gms. The bar is soft  and it smells of organic cum natural cum medicinal flowers, actually can’t explain clearly. Mum says she can smell of Lentils. The fragrance stays on my hair till the next wash after two days. Also, Gentil Lentil does not tangle my hair like Trichomania does( but this won’t change my love for Trichomania), though it does not detangle them completely, it just does the job of softening my hair.
During these hot summers, I like to skip using conditioner on alternate days and my hair is fine with the serum afterwards. I love to brush my fingers on hair after washing with Gentil lentil. I have cut this into 2 halves and kept one in a box in cool dark place. The one I use, I keep it in a plastic jar with a lid. For better results, I keep the box outside the bathroom after bath so that it doesn’t dry up. This way it will give me maximum washes. I learned this from YouTube and beauty blogs.

Cons of Lush Gentil Lentil Shampoo Bar:

* Expensive
But I ordered from the UK where its much cheaper. I shared the big shipping charges with my friend as we combined our order. We are allowed to make an order of 1 kg.
* Not best for greasy hair.
* Well that’s it.
Will I buy Lush Gentil Lentil Shampoo Bar again?
Yes I will. This even works better than my favorite Matrix biolage hydrating hair mask.

  2. good review lovleen. I stopped buying lush soaps because of the problem you mentioned about thy getting either too soggy or drying up completely. Guess would give them another chance and follow your tips on show to store them. 🙂 Thanks 🙂
