Lush Honey Trap Lip Balm Review

Lush Honey Trap Lip Balm Review

By Astha Goel

Hi IMBBians,

I am going to talk about a little box of treasure. Like many other products from Lush, this has made a permanent place in my list of staple products 🙂

Lush+Honey+Trap+Lip+Balm+Review

Product Description:

Our product inventors worked hard in the labs, experimenting with all sorts of different flavors before they landed on this seductive honey lip balm. Honey Trap is filled with toning sweet orange and cooling peppermint to soothe dry, chapped lips. Rich honey moisturizes and melted white chocolate is part of that delectable flavor. After all that chocolate tasting and kissing we did in the name of innovation, we think Honey Trap can certainly be considered our most delicious lip balm to date. It’s a hard life we have here at Lush.

Directions For Use:

Prep your pout by scrubbing with our sugary Lip Scrubs. With a clean finger, apply your Lip Balm and get ready to pucker up! Well you don’t really need to scrub it using their lip scrubs, just put it on freshly cleansed lips 🙂

Price:

730 INR for 10 gm.

Packaging:

They put it in a tiny tin, which has a screw mechanism. This is a pain sometimes, as it gets difficult to open it if hands are even a bit slippery.

Shelf Life (as per the pack):

2 years. That’s something rare by Lush.

My Experience with Lush Honey Trap Lip Balm:

This has orange and peppermint with vanilla and white chocolate. The smell of while chocolate mixed with a hint of vanilla and peppermint is how I would describe the scent. This also contains honey, which is a humectant that means it traps in the moisture from the atmosphere preventing dryness. The scent is really long lasting (I did lick my lips several times because it tastes so good! 😛 ).

Lush Lip Balm

Now, this is my HG lip balm. It is very soothing and does an amazing job at healing chapped lips.  It doesn’t really have a waxy texture like most other lip balms. Instead, it’s like a really thick creamy solid and it melts on your fingers like butter and feels so good. Though it does mention bee’s wax in the ingredient list, but I guess it must be in a lesser quantity.

The staying power this has is super amazing. You don’t have to constantly keep applying your lip balm every 2-3 hours like other lip balms. For me, this lasts for 5-6 hours easily provided I don’t lick my lips 😀  I like to apply it under my lip tint and it makes the latter stay super long. I also use this at night.  Given all these qualities, no wonder it is one of Lush’s best-selling products.
