Lush Ocean Salt Cleanser Review

(This label is in French)

I wanted to try Lush products from a long time, but there was no Lush store in Pune then (now Pune has 2 Lush outlets) and then my hubby went to Canada for some project and told me that near his hotel there is a Lush store. I immediately made a list of stuff I wanted after going through their website. He bought all of them with some free samples.  So, this one is from my first few Lush products.

Product Description:

Cleansing lime, coconut and sea salt scrub. Ocean Salt is like taking your face on a trip to the seaside for an invigorating splash in the water, then cleansing and refreshing it with lemon, grapefruit and lime juices. Fresh avocado moisturizes and softens the skin, while violet leaf absolute calms and nurtures. Use it on oily skin every day and use it to refresh dry skin once a week.

Price:

920 rupees for 120 g.

My Take on Lush Ocean Salt Cleanser:

It came in a black container as other Lush products. It came as a white creamy part topped with sea blue salt crystals.

As per the SA’s suggestion, I mixed the cream and salt crystals together with spatula. It turned in to sea blue-colored creamy scrub. It smells salty and lemony. Imagine as you are sipping margarita/ lime water at sea shore. Yes, exactly like that.

For using it, you have to wet your face. Take some scrub with spatula or clean finger and spread over face. Massage gently with circular motions till the salt get dissolved and wash the face.

The best part is that you can customize the scrubbing. This I’ve learnt over the time. If you like mild scrub, wet your hands again after applying it and then massage.

I have extremely oily skin. I use it after every 2-3 days for my face and I love it. This is the best scrub I have ever tried.

What I Like about Lush Ocean Salt Cleanser:

  • Skin feels very soft, smooth and clean after use.
  • It has stopped the blackheads from appearing, really stopped!
  • It’s great for oily skin, improved my skin a lot.
  • I love love love the smell.
  • Even if it looks harsh in picture, it is not at all harsh and you can customize the scrubbing as per your liking.
  • It doesn’t make my skin dry.
  • It doesn’t break me out.
  • You can mix it with other Lush cleansers (Angels on Bare Skin) and it will improve the effectiveness of that cleanser.

What I Don’t Like about Lush Ocean Salt Cleanser:

  • It is costly.
  • Even if I have extremely oily skin, I can’t use it everyday as Lush claims.
  • If you have sensitive skin or pimples, stay away from it. I think it’ll sting the pimples because of the salt.
  • It leaves a salty taste in the mouth, even if I keep my mouth closed. I don’t mind it but some of you may.

Will I Purchase Lush Ocean Salt Cleanser Again?

Yes! This is my HG scrub.

Rating:

4/5, I am deducting one point because of its cost.

    1. Keirti it’s my assumption that it’ll sting on pimples but you can give it a try at lush store. They are always ready to give some sample to test.

  1. Man, is this thing pretty! :woot: :woot: Nice review, Sonu.
I have only tried Lush’s Farmacy cleanser thingie and loved it. :preen: It’s just such a pain to find its products. 😮 Not a big fan of online shopping. :idk: I think I’m going to add this gorgeous looking scrub in Delhi shopping list.
