Lush Sea Vegetable Soap-Review

Hello ladies!

Today I will be reviewing Lush Sea Vegetable soap.

I have turned into a big Lushie now. I have many soaps from Lush and every time I go to the store and pick a soap, because, I find them all very interesting. This time I picked up Sea Vegetable Soap. Let’s see how this turned out.

Lush sea vegetable soap

Price and quantity:

Rs. 285 for 100 grams.

About Lush Sea Vegetable Soap:

A refreshing splash in the ocean. Sea Vegetable is made with seaweed, one of our favourite ingredients, with a crust of stimulating sea salt to give your body a good scrub down. It smells of lime, lavender and seaweed, a bit like sitting at the beach next to someone applying suntan lotion. This is a great soap for sharing amongst the whole household. The scent is perfectly balanced for boys and girls everywhere.

My take on Lush Sea Vegetable Soap:

Sea Vegetable is a beautiful-looking soap, that looks refreshingly green-blue, like it has come from the sea. It looks like it is topped with some sea weeds like garnish over Biryani. 😛 The top surface is black, where there is the concentration of sea weeds and other sea extracts, that help in cleansing the skin.

soap

It looks so attractive that when you look at the round cake of this soap, you’ll be tempted to buy it. The SA told that the soap is good for people with sensitive skin and also for those who suffer from skin allergies, eczema etc.

The soap doesn’t lather too much, but that is how most Lush soaps are, they lather less but cleanse very well. I give it ten on ten for its cleansing action.

soap close up

One would expect the sea weeds on the top to do some exfoliation, but they just slide along with the bar so that means this would not help in any kind of exfoliation. The fragrance is very refreshing and cooling, though it doesn’t linger on my skin for long, it does make me look forward to the shower. It does not melt away like most Lush soaps do, so you don’t need to make an extra effort to store it in the refrigerator.

Pros of the Lush Sea Vegetable Soap:

• Cleans very well.
• Has the goodness of sea weeds.
• Very refreshing fragrance.
• Good for sensitive skin.
• Does not melt like most Lush soaps.

Cons of the Lush Sea Vegetable Soap:

• No exfoliation.
• Pricey for a soap.
• Not too moisturising.
• Fragrance doesn’t last for long.

Verdict:

The soap is not a dud but it is not a must-have from Lush. I’d pick it, only if the Lush store here ran out of all the soaps and there’s only this left.
