MAC oh MAC! This is my 14th Mac lipstick and I haven’t even finished one of them though I keep adding more to my collection.
Product description:
In 1997 Viva Glam II as created with a pinked mauve. MAC describes is as “muted pink-beige with shimmer,” & it’s a Satin finish.
Price:
Rs. 990/- for 3 ml. The SA had stock of this at the old price and he suggested I should take the last piece so I straight away save 500 bucks. yay!
My Experience with M.A.C. Viva Glam II Lipstick :
M.A.C. Viva Glam II Lipstick is a perfect mauve nude colour but a slight mauve. On me it, looks light brown and not nude but I love how it does not make me look dead. It gives a great toned down pout. It works when I want the look of nude lips but nothing else is looking right. Nudes are very hard for me to find, especially those that would perfectly suit me. Most of the ones that I have tried have washed me out.
It’s a perfect everyday lipstick. The satin finish is my favourite MAC finish. I love the way it is completely opaque and look matte without feeling matte. It gives me that 90’s feel and every time I wear it, there is no way an episode of Chandrakanta or Friends won’t flow through my head. The texture is a dream. Once on my lips, it’s creamy, soft and heavenly. Glides on very smoothly and extremely pigmented. It has easily lasted for about 5 hours on my lips. For reference, I am NC 25. It wears off evenly and leaves a rose mauve stain behind. MAC has described it with shimmer. But for me it’s a shade with a hint of subtle shimmer.
In case I am looking for a more neutral finish, I top it up with Pretty Please which is a must have lip shade for me. Because it has a semi matte finish, it can look and feel drying. If lips are chapped or aren’t ready or prepped, it’ll be hard to apply. I always remember to exfoliate and moisturise lips before I wear this. Without something underneath, it’ll settle into the creases and lines in the lips and makes them look chapped. Overall, it’s a lovely shade which goes very well with a heavy or dark eye makeup. I am still on a look out for my nude.

My Dislikes about M.A.C. Viva Glam II Lipstick :
• Shade looks different in lighting and sunlight.
• Not my nude.
Would I recommend and repurchase M.A.C. Viva Glam II Lipstick ?
I definitely recommend it. But do a swatch and try it out on the lips before you buy. It would suit warm-toned beauties.
I like to have it in my collection to play with, but I don’t think I would actually wear this enough to go and buy it again.
