MAC describes Breath of Plum as light plum. It is a sheertone blush.
MAC Breath of Plum is THE blush for those with dusky skin tones. It is a mauve pink color . The color would work on all skin tones but for those with dusky skin tones , this would work as a natural flush of color for their cheeks. The shade would look nice on light skin tones as well but not a great shade for those with medium dusky skin tones. It is a very very pigmented and smooth blush. This can totally be overdone if you are heavy handed with this blush. It builds up nicely but you have to be careful that you don’t apply a blob of color in one go.
The texture is smooth but I find it a tad bit difficult to blend it. It blends just fine but I have to sort of work up the color. It stays on around 4 hours on me and then it completely fades. IT does not go patchy during the day just that it fades a bit early. I feel Breezy is better pick than Breath of Plum despite the gorgeous shade and texture.
It is a matte blush so it can be worn both during the day and evening time. I sometimes wear it as a contouring shade – breath of plum for contours of my cheeks and light pink shade just on top of that.
If you like the shade of the blush definitely try it at the store. This may or may not work for you. Also the texture is such that it would depend on how you apply the blush. If you are new to applying blushes, skip this one. The brush picks up a lot of color in one go and you may totally end up overdoing your blush.
I like this blush but I feel there are better ones in MAC both pigmentation and staying power wise.
