MAC Coffee Eye Pencil Review

Hello Lovely Ladies!!

Today, I have come up with a review of an eye pencil from the “Godfather” of all Makeup Brands – MAC.

I have really sensitive eyes and on top of it, any and every brand of kohl smudges on my waterline. Except Zoeva pencils, but the ones that I have, have glitter in them, and I don’t want glitter anywhere near my waterline. So, after trying everything from Colossal kajal from Maybelline, to L’Oreal color riche,to Biotique to etc etc. (phew!),I always ended up with smudged kajal; so hate it .So I thought, at least MAC would do me good. I headed to the MAC store, and the lovely makeup artist wove magic with the ‘Teddy’ eye pencil. I was in heaven. Brown kajal looks so subtle and mysterious, I had to have it! Unfortunately, they did not have a piece in stock. As an alternative I purchased their eye pencil in “Coffee”.

Read on ladies, to know, if I made the right choice or not.

Product Claims: Eye Pencils are formulated to provide rich, consistent color. They are comfortable to apply and sharpen to a fine point to allow for a precise application. Eye Pencils can be used to create a sharp line or a softer, smoky effect.

My Experience with MAC Coffee Eye Pencil :

I will cut the chase and come straight to the point. I hate it. What a waste of money!!I was looking to avoid panda eyes, not end up with “brunette’ panda eyes!! Sigh!!

The pencil is nice and hygienic, since it needs to be sharpened and is not a twist up. The color is just so beautiful, so beautiful, I loved the shade. The pencil is soft, opthalmologically tested and really gentle on yes. Oh but it bleeds, how it bleeds! It should be renamed MAC Coffee smoulder.

Don’t get me wrong ladies; maybe I had the wrong expectations from this one. It would be a great addition, if you have the time and patience to set powder/eye shadow just below the tight line. Unfortunately, early in the morning, when you are already getting late for work, it’s just not my cup of tea. Please help me and suggest good Kohl that does not smudge.

Pros of MAC Coffee Eye Pencil :

• Lovely color.
• Easy to smudge and work with.
• Opthalomologically tested.

Cons of MAC Coffee Eye Pencil :

• Smudges.
• Expensive for an average product.

IMBB Rating: 3/5 Very average.

Final Verdict: Not repurchasing this one!! Teddy maybe 😉 I would recommend it only if, you don’t mind setting the kohl on the lashline. Oily lid ladies, just stay miles away from this one.
