My Experience with MAC CremeStick Liner – Pink Treat
Packaging – The cremestick liner comes in a twist up style packaging with a black body and color coded base which is good for storing upside down in the stash of liners. All details about the product are mentioned on the outer paper carton. The twist up style ensures minimum wastage as there is no sharpening involved. Also it is good to carry in the pouch without bothering to carry the sharpener along.
Texture – The texture of the liner is creamy. Not so creamy that it breaks or melts on the lips while application but creamy enough not to tug the lips. The liner goes on smoothly on the lips depositing enough pigment to cover pigmented lips. There is no shimmer whatsoever and hence is non gritty. This can be worn as a matte lip color but people with dry lips might find it a bit uncomfortable. With a clear balm on top you are good to go.
Pigmentation – The liner is highly pigmented and thus people who want to cover up dark patches on lips would find this handy for an array of shades. The pencil can be layered for intense color without feeling overtly dry or cakey.
Shade – The shade is pink with evident mauve undertones. I would say there lies the uniqueness of the shade. You can pair it with a lot of shades and wear it on its own. Either ways it would look good. The shade is such that it would fair to medium to dusky skin beauties.
Staying power – It stays on my lips without flaking or chapping as long as I do not remove it with a makeup remover. There is mild fading from the centre of the lips with meals and tea/coffe but nothing patchy that it looks odd.
Overall a very wearable shade, though dupable, it would suit so many shades from your stash that you can definitely check this out. Only the hefty price tag may be a deterrent for the otherwise flawlees product from the house of MAC.
