Today, I will be reviewing MAC Eye Kohl in the shade “Costa Riche.” I have been eyeing this eyeliner for a very long time. So, let’s see how this eyeliner fared for me.

My Experience with MAC Eye Kohl Costa Riche:
MAC Costa Riche Eyeliner comes in a black wooden pencil form with a black cap. The bottom part of the pencil shows the colour of the eyeliner. The side of the pencil has MAC eyeliner written on it in bold white letters. The eyeliner comes in a black cardboard box. The product name ‘Costa Riche’ is mentioned on the bottom of the box. The packaging is very lightweight and travel friendly. The pencil is super slender and sleek, which makes storage easy. Overall, the eyeliner packaging looks really minimalistic and good.
“Costa Riche” is a beautiful coffee brown shade with a hint of reddish tint to it. The eyeliner gives my eyes a soft yet defined look. It doesn’t look harsh like a black eyeliner. It’s a good everyday shade. It makes my brown eyes stand out in a more natural way. The liner is water resistant. The eyeliner stays on my oily eyelids for a good 6 hours.
The texture of the eyeliner is very soft, smooth and creamy matte. The liner glides so smoothly on my lower eye. The eyeliner doesn’t set very fast, so you can easily smudge the eyeliner. Once applied, it doesn’t budge. This eyeliner is super pigmented and very opaque. Two swipes gives me full coverage.
I found it very tough to draw a wing with this eye kohl. I think a liquid eyeliner is better to draw a wing than an eyeliner. The eyeliner blends well without tugging or pulling.
It starts to fade on the inner corners first. This eyeliner doesn’t smudge once applied. It is long lasting. I can easily remove this eyeliner with an oil-based makeup remover. I mainly use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup and it works really well. Overall, I really like MAC Costa Riche eyeliner and would love to try other colours in this range.
