I am going to write about a very important makeup product and almost all of us have it in our makeup kit. There is no denying that shaped and well-defined eyebrows can make your look and enhance the beauty of your eyes. I have tried various products to fill my brows, but was never truly satisfied with the outcome. Sometimes, it used to be too light, sometimes too dark, and if by any chance the color was good, the low staying power would break the deal for me. Then, I decided to go for MAC as I had seen in many people raving about MAC eyebrow pencils a lot.
I would say that spending a huge amount on an eyebrow pencil was not something I had planned but when I swatched it in the store, I knew I had to get it 🙂 The finish of this pencil is very natural which does not make my brows look made-up (I would have hated that by the way!). Let me tell you about this pencil in detail:
Self-propelling, self-sharpening, brow defining. Confidently adds what you need: shape, colour, density in one streamlined tool. Like a pen, creates its own just-right point. Provides definition, shape, deepens/fills in colour. Creates striking arches.Easy to tote around. No sharpener needed.
My Experience with MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Spiked:
Packaging: It comes in a sleek twist up pencil. One good thing is that there is no need to sharpen, so no product wastage and no hassles for lazy girls like me ;).
Staying Power: It stays on me on the whole day. Even in monsoons, if you get drenched, it won’t bleed. This makes this perfect for all weathers. Removing it is also an easy task. Just the face wash does the trick.
Shade: Eyebrows are one part of our makeup which we do not want to be obvious or loud. Most of the ladies opt for browns to fill their brows. Spiked is also a brown shade which is not too light, which makes it perfect for medium skin tone.
I bought it for 980 INR, not sure if MAC has increased its price (even more!)
Texture: The texture of this pencil is neither too waxy that it crumbles while applying or deposits too much of color or product. The texture is also not very dry that it will scratch your skin while application. Okay, I agree that was too much of exaggeration. I just want to highlight that the pencil is of a bit dry texture which is definitely a pro as it glides easily but does not deposit too much of the product and stays all day without wandering out from the brows.
I have pretty much summed up all the points about this pencil above, I will jot down the pros and cons once again below:
Pros of MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Spiked:
- Stays all day long.
- Perfect for all weathers, even for monsoons!
- Sturdy packaging, I carry it with me in my purse all the time, but no damage to this one.
- Natural looking shade.
- Great texture.
- Very pigmented, just a tiny amount is required every time I use it.
- No need to sharpen.
Cons of MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Spiked:
- Since this is a twist up pencil, there is no way of knowing how much is remaining.
I do not find any other con with this pencil; yes it is pricey, but since I buy less stuff and invest in good products, this is not a con as this is worth the money. If you are looking for great eye brow filler, you might want to take a look at this too.
