Gel Liner : MAC Fluidline In Dipdown Review

I have had the pleasure of discovering a MAC product which has another purpose other than the one it was manufactured for! For the past three years, I have been searching high and low for the perfect product to use to create full, dark and shapely brows. I often lust over the soft, yet effective way the Kardashian sisters’ eyebrows look and I have in the past attempted to search online for the products and techniques which evidently works for them. I have several brands of eye shadows, eyebrow pencils and eyebrow shadows in my makeup kit to last a lifetime, but none of which seem to have the long-lasting, professional effect in real life as well as photographs (factors equally important as each other!), although these were recommended by several Mac beauty advisors globally! I was recently in a London Mac store, when I noticed one of the beauty advisors had the exact eyebrow look I had been trying to achieve for years. Without any hesitation, I asked for her assistance and she let me into her biggest secret beauty tip; MAC FLUIDLINE IN DIPDOWN for the most perfect, desirable brows!!

Mac Fluidline in Dip Down is a rich, dark brown gel liner which suits brunettes extremely well. I know applying a gel liner to your eyebrows may sound daunting, but once you practise a few times, you will discover the perfected, finished look which we all thought was only possible for Hollywood stars to achieve.

I began applying my gel liner to my eyebrows using a Ruby & Millie long, flat-ended brush, but I soon came to the conclusion that my application had less control and therefore had thicker, heavier eyebrows than I ever wanted! I then opted for a small, travel size Bobbi Brown flat brush and practised a few times before accomplishing full, natural brows. The pot itself is quite small, but I cannot emphasise enough that the tiniest amount of product is required for your eyebrows; otherwise you are at risk of sporting a pair of extremely bushy brows! A little goes a long way!

Mac Fluidlines have been loved and known for their high quality and long-lasting properties and this is no exception when used on your eyebrows. The soft consistency of the gel liner allows a small amount to be applied with your flat brush and blended into your natural eyebrows for a soft yet effective look to frame your face. Although the gel liner is extremely moist, it is important to keep the glass jar open for as little time as possible, as it has been known to dry out quite quickly when exposed to air.

Mac Fluidline in Dipdown retails for £13.50 approx 80-90 AED and it is widely available at all Mac stores and concessions in department stores, as well as being available online via the Mac Cosmetics website. Paying £13.50 for a product you are likely to use daily, that will last approximately a year is brilliant and well worth every penny!

I absolutely love the effect of having full, flattering brows for days you don’t feel like wearing makeup and those days where you want to achieve a dramatic look with your makeup. I love the versatility! All the times spent researching and trying and testing other products were well worth it, as I’m highly grateful to have finally discovered the perfect eyebrow filler. I would highly recommend this gel eyeliner to use as an eyebrow filler for all those ladies with lighter-haired, sparse brows.
