MAC Girlie Eyeshadow Review, Swatch

I am not a pink eyeshadow wearer but Girlie is the only pink that I absolutely love to pull out every now and then. Here’s my review on this lovely eyeshadow. 🙂
- Price : Rs 1000 approx
- Finish : Satin
- Color : rosy pink with subtle shimmer / a warm pink with mauve undertones and subtle
- Texture : super smooth
- Longevity : lasts all day long without creasing for fading. Does not have any fall outs.
- Pigmentation : medium to buildable. But you can’t build it up to a very dark shade. It would always look subtle unless you are very pale. In that case that might look reddish on your lids and make your look ill.
- Goes Best With : all warm colors. In this post, I have tried to use it with a whitish color on lid and it looks pretty good. 🙂
- Skin Tones : on medium warm skin tones, it would come across as a very subtle shade. if you apply a wash of girlie on your lid, it would probably just add a little sheen in a nicer way.
- Do I like It? absolutely love it. I love to add ‘girlie’ with my brown and gold eyeshadows and it does total justice especially as a transition color. A great sophisticated shade for indian skin tones. Working women should especially check this out. 🙂

Girlie vs Haux (Haux is browner both both of them have pinkish undertones)

I wore this look out yesterday. I mostly don’t wear lighter shades on the lids but I thought I’d give it a go anyway. There is orb eyeshadow all over the lid and girlie in the crease. I have smudged a greyish black pencil on the upper lash liner and finished off with a liner. I personally kinda liked the light under stated look. I felt that the lighter color on the lid made my eyes look more awake and the warmth of girlie helped while not took too stark on the lids. 🙂

Very nice review Rati .In fact I was looking for this kind of colour .Do you think it would also do as an overall lid colour for a simple day look .I have a medium to dusky complexion .
hi pretty, you can totally do that. it would look like a nice warm sheen on the lids and would give that polished look to your eyes . 🙂
