A dark lipstick can make or break your glamorous look. I adore them for every night-time party. A simple dress can appear party appropriate if you choose the right shade of lip color. For this reason, I became a fan of “Hang-Up” from MAC’s Cremesheen range.

My Experience with MAC Hang-Up Lipstick:
Packaging: MAC has a pretty standard lipstick packaging. A black bullet shaped lipstick with MAC written on its side. At the bottom, shade and manufacturing details have been mentioned. As you open the cap, MAC has been imprinted inside also. The quantity provided is 3g. The cap secures the product and it is tight enough to protect it during travelling too.
Availability: It is available within MAC stores across India. I have found it on many online websites too.
Texture: As the name suggests, it is pretty creamy in texture. “Hang Up” gives you a light sheen on your lips. Many creamy lipsticks are highly transferable, but that’s not the case with Hang Up. It transfers slightly once or twice initially only. The application is pretty smooth and even. People who have excess lip lines can try this. The best part is that you can use it on dry and chapped lips as well. It will act as a lip balm and color enhancer both. Even with so many benefits, I find it a little heavy on my lips. There is a reminder in my head that I am wearing a lipstick. When I first opened it, it smelt like regular MAC lipsticks, mine smells a little funky now, maybe it is time to chuck it out.
Pigmentation: Hang-Up scores 5 out of 5 in case of pigmentation. It’s described as a deep berry color by MAC, but being a burnt maroon color, it is suitable for all types of lip shapes and colors. A single swipe is more than sufficient to cover any lip color. I have swatched it on my wrist. Left one is a double swatch and the right one is single swatch. The lip swatch is a single swipe of color.
Staying Power: Staying power is superb. Even though it’s a creamy lipstick, it can stay up to 6 hours on lips. It fades beautifully. I can say it has a staining power too. Using oil-based makeup remover is the perfect way to remove it completely.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase MAC Hang-Up Lipstick?
Yes, it’s a must-have if you a dark lipstick fanatic. I love to fancy it in fall or winters. Although it has red base, mixing a little black in it makes it look like oxblood colored lipstick. This comes very handy for me. One
more plus point is that during winters, it is best for my dry lips.
