Mac Mineralize Blush – Fresh Honey
Product Purchased by IMBB
Hello pretties….
As you can see am high on Mac these days, all thanks to IMBB. Today I will review a blush in the shade Fresh Honey from the mineralize range. My journey with blushes began only after I joined IMBB and I must say this is an underrated beauty product especially in the Indian market. Hint of blush can do wonders on the whole makeup look. The technique and positioning of the blush is very important as it can make or break the total makeup.
Price: Rs 1600/- for 3.2gms
My experience with Mac Mineralize Blush – Fresh Honey
The packaging is regular Mac blush packaging, only difference being the dome shaped product as it is a mineralized blush which are usually baked. The shade name is mentioned on the outer black paper carton and on the back of the pan. There is a protective plastic cover on the blush so as to save it from minor damages. There is no mirror or applicator provided which might pose as a con, as it might be a bit difficult to touch up on the go.
The shade is more of apricot than honey to me. As it is mineralize finish I was expecting it to be a bit frosty which is not the case. This is satin finish and gives real warm healthy glow to the face. The texture is beautiful and one swipe with the blush brush is enough to give a sheer dose of color on the cheeks. The color can be definitely built up. The shade is so warm and subtle that it would never look OTT no matter how much you apply.
I have combination to oily skin but it has never broken me out. The staying power is really good as it stays on my cheeks for 6 hours minimum, after which it starts to fade evenly. If you are someone you uses proper base makeup every time under the blush I believe it would stay as long as it is not removed. On my yellow toned NC 42 skin tone this shade is perfect to give the flush of color on the cheeks. It goes really well with warm tone lipsticks and I have been wearing it almost each single day. There is minimal fallout which is quite normal for mineralize products. But it nothing too much to draw concern.
I do not mind the absence of applicator as most of the times the applicators that come with the blushes are flimsy. But the inclusion of mirror would have been really useful for touch ups. Considering the long stay I think I will forgive that con.
Pros of Mac Mineralize Blush – Fresh Honey
• Nice shade
• Long stay
• Finely milled texture
• Little goes long way
• Satin finish
Cons of Mac Mineralize Blush – Fresh Honey
• Expensive
• No applicator
• No mirror
IMBB Rating: 4.25/5
