MAC Nehru Eyeshadow Review, Swatch, EOTD

MAC Nehru Eyeshadow

MAC Nehru

Okay I am on a swing today. ๐Ÿ˜›

Price : Rs 720

MAC describes Nehru as matte muted bluish black.

Since MAC Carbon is a pretty useless eyeshadow, I wanted a matte black eyeshadow in my palette . Nehru kinda caught my attention. It is a matte charcoal black eyeshadow with navy bluish undertones. Although it is not a deep deep black that I wanted, I find Nehru to be super versatile. You can use it a transition color while doing super black smokey eye. You can use it for everyday smokey eye since it is softer than your regular black and does not look harsh. Looks great during the day time. It is very soft and buildable. The pigmentation is really nice. There is a teeny meeny bit of fall out, which can totally be handled. It goes on smoothly and blends well.

Nehru is probably one of my most used and one of my fav eyeshadows from MAC. If you are someone who is scared of using deep black eyeshadows, try this one. Very forgiving. ๐Ÿ™‚

EOTD : I had a bit of shimmer left on my brush from Antiqued. I let it be and it gave a lovely goldenish geryish effect on my eyes. I applied a bit of purple eyeshadow on the crease. and blended it with a soft brown eyeshadow . Finished it off with kohl on waterline, black gel liner on top lash line and a mascara.

  3. I should have tried this one, I regret buying Carbon. I think once I get my Carbon used up completely, I will go for Nehru or Typography. Rati, which one is better?

  4. There’s something about the last two piccys. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there’s something different and special about them.

  7. Wow Rati.. U do the best of eotds… How do u apply eye shadow so well?? When I try it I end up with racoon eyes. I cant wield a brush to save my life ๐Ÿ˜› I have given up trying now. ๐Ÿ™
I had been to MAC over the weekend, picked up my first foundation (Studio fix fluid in NC30).. I totally fell for the excellent MUAs they have there. I am still reeling at the superb way she guided me to pick the right shade for me! ๐Ÿ™‚
I need ur advice. Should I go for Smolder or Technakohl? I want a nice Kohl. Just finished Clinique quickliner.

    1. ramya, it’s been 3 years i have been working with eyeshadows – had a good mix of my good and bad days . :)) Thank you. and i have also never had a bad experience with MAC MUAs and that is why i like the brand so much. ๐Ÿ™‚

Technakohl would stay longer and wouldnt smudge

smolder would smudge and would be awesome if you like a little smudgy look. ๐Ÿ™‚ You have to set it with the eyeshadow.

  8. Perfect flawless.. ๐Ÿ™‚ these eyeshadows are on my wishlist!! U are truely artistic, love ur tute n swatches a lot! I’ll thank god literally if I cud learn just 1-2 arts of applying make up.. :p
