Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today, I’ll be reviewing the first paint pot which I ever bought from MAC, i.e., “Morning Frost,” which is a limited edition paint pot and was launched with Glitter n Ice collection earlier this year 🙂 I actually went to buy the Paint Pot in Groundwork, but the SA instead showed this one. Initially, I was skeptical as it looked shimmery, but once applied on the eyelid, it turned out super gorgeous and I had to buy it 😀
Since its a limited edition, its more expensive than the permanent ones, I got this for 1400 INR.
Morning Frost is described as “shimmering champagne taupe” color. Its a mix of light taupe and champagne color which translates beautifully on the eyelids. Its that perfect color for overall wash on the eyelids on days when you don’t have much time to do your eye makeup. As with all MAC paint pots, this can also be used as a base and even though I like to use it as an overall lid color, I am sure it will pop out the eyeshadows which are not highly pigmented. The texture is smooth and creamy and once it is set, its smudgeproof and crease proof. You need a good makeup remover to remove it from your eyelids.
Even though it says shimmery in description, I found it to be more a pearl finish and not shimmery at all. It can be easily worn during day time and does not look over the top at all. The only problem I face is that it sets very fast, so you got to work on blending the eyeshadow super fast because once it is set, you cannot blend it.
Eye look I did using Morning Frost on the entire lid and soft brown to blend it in the crease area.
Pros of MAC Paint Pot Morning Frost:
- Beautiful taupe champagne color which will suit all skin tones.
- Very little quantity is required and this small pot will go on forever.
- Once set, it is smudge and crease proof.
- Can be used as an eyeshadow base.
- The texture is smooth and creamy.
- Good pigmentation and no fall outs!
Cons of MAC Paint Pot Morning Frost:
- Limited edition product.
- It sets super fast, so one has to be really quick to blend it out.
- Quite expensive!
Honestly, I don’t have any complaints and love wearing this with a winged liner, especially during night time! The quantity is huge and this is going to last a lifetime for me. I’d definitely recommend this to everyone!
Hope you all enjoyed the review , until tomorrow, take care!
