MAC Party Makeup Eye look: Olive Green Shade, Coppery Shimmery Lip

Here’s another Party Make up look that I wanted to share with all of you. It’s an extremely easy look and may take up to 15 minutes, as you need a steady hand to draw the eye liner, but once it’s done, the rest is all very quick.

Face Make Up Products used :

Left to Right :

Here’s how I got the eye look: First, I applied MAC Paint Pot (Soft Ochre) all over the lids. Then on the lower waterline, I applied the MAC Chromagraphic Eye Pencil. Using the Inglot 23T eye liner brush, lined the lower lash line with MAC Fluidline in Shade (a matte-finish emerald green colour). Then, on the upper lash line, I drew a very fine line with the Oriflame Lacquer Perfection eyeliner (a shiny black colour, with no shimmer, just shine), making the line slightly thicker towards the outer lash line. After this dried within a few minutes, I applied MAC Fluidline in Sweet Sage (a slightly frosty finish olive green colour) with the Inglot 23T eyeliner brush on top of the black eyeliner, making it thicker than the black eye liner line. These 2 together give the effect of having applied eyeshadow, unless one really looks close (so my friends keep guessing what I have done)! I then applied the Lakme eyeshadow highlighter shade (a beautiful frosty light beige) on the rest of my eye lid upto under the eyebrows. Eyes done!

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Brilliance (Sparkling Touch for Lips) in No. 9 – a beautiful, shimmery coppery-rusty colour lip gloss. It’s a click type (the black knob at the right end is for clicking to get the product onto the brush).

As much as I have tried over the years, I cannot get my face tone to match with my neck tone. My face is much lighter than my neck and the MUA at MAC told me that I have cool undertones on my face and warm undertones on my neck, hence, after she told me that, I have even changed my face powder shade from NC 20 to NC 25 to match my neck, but my face is still more pinkish than my neck! (That’s also why I bought the L’oreal True Match pressed powder in W3 Golden Beige). I think I should now shift to an NW shade for the face. What do you think?

  1. Wow…this is such a flashy and hot look…Great make up Sabrina! Thanks for sharing such wonderful post here!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  2. Sabrina,

It’s always good too see your looks. You always come up with something fun. It’s been ages I have picked up my green liners. guess I must do so now. 🙂

loved the YSL gloss shade. :-* :-*

    1. Hi Rati, thanks. I really love green eye colours, especially liners. I think most of my eye pencil collection range is green. Another colour I really like for eyes is teal. Inglot here does not have stock of a beautiful teal gel eyeliner which I’ve been wanting (lusting!) ever since they opened. When I get it, I’ll show all my gel eyeliners.

      1. Sabrina, you have Inglot there?
An amazing brand but not available here – the next place to get it is in Poland.
I love every kind of cool green color for eye make up, too. :-))

  3. Hey Sab……loved the lip colour with and without flash…..and every time I keep ogling at your gold bracelet….can’t help it, I am a pucca mallu…..and BTW, your palm looks so cozy that I could sleep in that palm snugly 😛 😛 😛 😛 😛

    1. Hi Jomol, thanks a lot. BTW, I’ve been wearing that bracelet continuously on my left hand for about 6 or 7 years now, would you believe that? I can even judge myself on losing or gaining weight by the fit of that bracelet!! (My husband says he’s waiting to see when I will finally have to remove it when it doesn’t fit anymore!).

  4. Love the look Sabrina!
It’s really pretty without being OTT.
    I’m gonna give this a try soon….
On another note, I think you need a warm toned powder for your face too! Your jawline looks about the same shade as your neck, so I’m guessing warm tones will work on your face too!

    1. Thanks, Devie. Do try this look & share it. I have switched over now to using warm toned powders on my face, instead of my rose-toned and ivory-toned powders, and I took a little time to get used to seeing my face look a bit warmer, but now I’m liking warmer shades a lot, and my face is not looking so pinkish!

  5. Hi Sabrina, loved the looks and i also have cool undertones on my face so i will sure use the tips :)…about the tone mismatch on your face and neck i think you should try a line of make up for neutral undertone, so its flattering to both tones in spite of pink/yellow being the color most prominent
.-= Deb´s last blog ..Aint they looking great =-.

  6. Hi Deb, thanks so much. You look so much like a friend of mine from the US, at first when I saw you, I thought that it was her! That’s a good idea, neutral is neither cool nor warm but just, well…neutral, so I think I might start searching for this kind of a shade. Thanks for the tip.

  7. The look is so beautiful  ….SUCH PRETTY SHADES OF GREEN 😛 😛 i have not seen the lakme eyeshadow anywhere, except the quad with 4 shadows, the color is so pretty :inlove:
