I will be reviewing the MAC Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner in the shade “Undercurrent.”  It was launched as a part of the MAC Vera collection.

Product Description:

An eye pencil that provides rich, luxurious color with a touch of shimmer and sparkle. Soft, smooth, creamy formula glides on for a perfectly intense line, yet its soft texture allows you to blend. Long-wearing. Smudge-proof.

Rs. 1000 for 1.2 gram/0.04 Us Oz.

Industrial Blue, Petrol Blue, Designer Purple, Undercurrent, Lord It Up, Black Line, Black Swan.

Packaging:

It comes in a standard MAC packaging with a coloured end, so that the pencils are easy to locate. It is not a twist-up pencil, but a mechanical pencil, so it needs to be sharpened. There is no problem in the sharpening of this pencil, but there is some product wastage through that.

My Take on MAC Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner Crayon – Undercurrent:

This pencil is the best eyeliner I have.  I am absolutely in love with it. Undercurrent is a very gorgeous teal green color with golden and green shimmer. The shade is very gorgeous. I have never seen such a beautiful green eyeliner in other brands. The base color is cooler, more blue based, but the shimmer is warm green and gold. It will complement blue and brown eyes a lot. I have never tried to use it on the waterline because of glitter.

The pigmentation is absolutely superb. A single swipe without pressing it hard and it gives an intense color. This eyeliner has incredibly soft and smooth texture. It is very creamy and glides on the eyelids like butter, without any effort. There is no tugging or pulling of eyelids. After a few seconds of application, it sets into a waterproof and smudgeproof finish.

The staying power is absolutely brilliant. It stays on my oily eyelids till night without any primer. The glitter doesn’t spread all over the lids. There is no patchiness or flaking. It can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.

Pros of MAC Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner Crayon – Undercurrent:

• Undercurrent is a very gorgeous and unique color. I have never seen such a beautiful green color.
• It doesn’t smudge or fade away from my eyelids the entire day.  It is waterproof too.
• The staying power is easily 8+ hours without any base.
• It has incredibly soft and smooth texture.
• It glides on the lids without tugging or pulling at the eyelids.
• Intensely pigmented.
• Shimmer is very fine, non-gritty and does not spread all over the eyelids.
• It comes off easily with an oil-based make up remover.
• Sharpening is very easy.

Cons of MAC Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner Crayon – Undercurrent:

• Sharpening leads to wastage of product. Every time I sharpen it, my heart aches 🙁
• The price!
