MAC Plush Lash – Plush Black Mascara Review
Hi All,
This is my second post on IMBB and I am excited. I have always skipped the mascara for the fear of not being able to remove it properly and losing eyelashes in the process. In addition, I wear lens, so for the fear of infection, I stayed away from this must-have beauty product, but all my assumptions about this beauty product were totally wrong and for all those people out there like me, I thought I should share my experience with my first tube of mascara (second actually).
Product Description:
Plumps, curls and volumizes. Builds thickness smoothly and evenly, delivering a full fan of lashes. Rich, hydrating formula. No smudging or clumping. A patented brush wraps lashes one luxurious layer at a time for immediate, intense drama.
Price:
Rs. 1100 for 11 ml.

My Experience with MAC Plush Lash – Plush Black Mascara:
MAC is a brand that I am obsessed with and this is the first ever mascara that I used regularly. I have been using this mascara for 5 months now and I am totally impressed. I totally love the brush applicator as it helps (even a rookie like me) apply mascara easily. It does live up to its claim of defining the lashes and curling it. It does volumize and doesn’t let the lashes dry, provides hydration. You can apply two to three coats for a dramatic look. I always do!!
The color pigmentation is good, giving the lashes a jet black color. I always pair the mascara with a colored eyeliner or black eyeliner on my upper lash line and sometimes on my lower waterline also.
The brush applicator is V shaped and has flat shaped – long bristles on two sides and short bristles on the other two sides. The long bristles provide a well-defined high fashion look and the short bristles provide pretty curls.
Here is an eye swatch with only the mascara on:
The staying power is good and is safe for contact lens users as it is hypoallergic. After I remove the mascara using an eye makeup remover, I always add some olive oil to my lashes to provide the moisture needed.
The packaging is neat and clean. It is a round shaped tube with a rubbery finish on the outside. The size is compact and travel friendly. Fits perfectly in handbags and can also be carried in airplanes.
Pros of MAC Plush Lash – Plush Black Mascara:
- Compact and travel friendly.
- Hypoallergic, safe for contact lens users.
- Color pigmentation is good, jet black.
- Lives up to its claims of defining and curling.
- The applicator or the wand is a plus, easy to use.
- Provides hydration.
- Does not smudge.
- Does come off with eye makeup remover (I use the Clinique rinse off eye makeup solvent).
- The formula is creamy and not liquid.
Cons of MAC Plush Lash – Plush Black Mascara:
- Expensive for a product that you have to toss out in 6 months to 8 months time (sometimes even lesser).
- Non waterproof, but it doesn’t liquefy that easily.
IMBB Rating:
I would rate this product 4.5/5, minus points for the price. Otherwise, I am totally in love with the product and would definitely purchase it once I am done with the tube. I would totally recommend it.
