MAC Pro Longwear Lip Creme – Made To Last Review

Hi Girls,

I don’t know about you guys, but I am always on the hunt for long-lasting lipsticks.  I feel its less of a hassle using long stay lip colors. With the ones which don’t last too long, it always happens that the moment when a picture has to be clicked, you just forget to put on your lipstick again. Inspite of my love for long stay lipsticks, I generally don’t go for any long-stay formulas because I feel they dry out my lips, but here I am with an exception!

My Take on MAC Pro Longwear Lip Crème – Made To Last:

I have no idea but whenever I go to any mall in the neighbouring cities (too bad mine has none), I always end up going to MAC and buying one or two things. Its just too tempting to miss. I have been MAC crazy since the first time I saw its store around 1-and-a-half year back. My sister is much crazier about long-lasting lipsticks than me. She has been trying them from all different brands, but none have got as good a texture and staying power as this one. She is totally in love with this one.

The packaging is different than the regular bullets. It is more equally rounded and flat. The top of the lipstick is flat as if it has been cut with a knife, but the packaging is much more sturdy than the bullets. It closes very firmly and I don’t think would ever open by itself in anyone’s bag.

The texture is really creamy and makes the application easy.  Its really not like other long-lasting ones which go on patchy. Its just really smooth. The colour is so pigmented and you get full colour in a single swipe. Its actually a delight using these. I generally use it over a lip balm. It is not fully transfer resistant but definitely does not transfer like normal lip colours do. Also, the colour fades away evenly.

The colour is a brown sort.  It is something that looks very professional and can be pulled off very easily. Can be used as a daily wear lip colour and looks very nice for office wear too.

The staying power is around 6 hours with little snacks in between. The colour does get light by the third hour, but does not fade away entirely. Even at the end of the sixth hour, you have a lovely wash of colour on your lips. The colour looks satiny on the lips. Its not entirely matte or very shiny, just the nice finish. If you think that this is drying, you are wrong my friends. This is just like every other lipstick, but with an amazing lasting power. Its not at all drying. Overall, it’s a wonderful product. For all of us who find this colour a bit too dark, there are many others available at MAC.  I am sure that there is a colour for everyone. Any of you who love long-wear stuff, do give this a try.
