My Experience with Mac Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolor Recollection:
Look-wise the packaging is a hybrid between the regular lipsticks by Mac and liquid lip colors. The applicator is handy and user friendly. The ingredients and other details are mentioned on the outer paper carton. The shade name is mentioned on the tube as well as on the carton. The tube is transparent so you can easily find the shade in your stash, if you have more than one from the same range.
The texture of the lip color is creamy and smooth. It glides on the lips like butter and settles to an ultra matte finish. The shades have varied consistency, so each one has a different pigmentation and they show up differently on the lips. Recollection is gorgeous in terms of texture and pigmentation. One swipe and you’re ready to walk out of the door. Due to the super matte texture, exfoliation and moisturisation is recommended as it tends to focus on the dry patches.
Recollection is a bluish purple shade which is very bold and dramatic. Definitely not for people who like muted makeup look. I think I am saving this shade for parties with a shimmery gloss. I do not have the heart to wear it alone. No doubt Recollection is a unique shade that will turn heads but it is way too daring shade for my choice of makeup.
The staying power is again incredible. It does not move of smudge at all as long as it is not messed with. I have to use an oil based makeup remover to completely remove it from the lips. It does not stain the lips, nor does it go patchy. This has survived meals and stayed strong for more than 8 hours on my lips. After 2 hours the lips tend to feel a bit stretchy and hence I apply a bit of matte balm on top to bring the comfortable feel to the lips.

• Lightweight texture.

• Can be drying on lips.

Recommend – if you like shades like Mac Heroine, you must try this as the texture and pigmentation is beautiful.
