I thank you all for the warm welcome and so I am back with my second review. Its getting extremely hot outside here in Dubai…….winter was gone in a jiffy.

Today I am here with a review about Mac Select sheer loose powder(our trusted brand)

Initially I was using Chambor loose powder. Alas! I don’t think its going to finish any time soon. I very badly wanted to try a different loose powder. So I thought why not give Mac a try. I am an NC 35-40 in Mac. So I opted for the same shade in powder also. But no stock . So the SA told that I can go for NC 30 also.

Product Claims

Translucent, featherweight, ultra-fine sublimely silky. Provides sheer, micro-fine finish. Mattes the skin but keeps its natural glow. Makes the skin look almost naked.

My experience with Mac Select sheer loose powder

Texture – The powder has very fine, smooth particles. It just blends into your skin like dream

Finish – It totally blends into your face giving an even matte finish but with a more natural look rather than looking totally mattified. It does not settle into your pores. It feels like you have not applied anything on your face.

 

Coverage – In matter of this aspect it gives a light coverage and does not conceal anything on your face. So those who have a clear blemish free skin they can wear it alone for a very natural look. Its purpose is mainly to set your foundation. I personally prefer a little more coverage because I have pores on my face.

Staying Power – It can stay for about 3 to 4 hours without any touch ups. In my case as I have combination dry skin, I just touch up my T-zone area mainly my nose. Overall it has a decent staying power. But for oily skin it might not last about that long.

Sun Protection – There is no SPF.

Fragrance – A very light smell you wont even notice.

Packaging – The powder comes in a round plastic jar. It has a filter lid inside through which the product is dispensed. Once the jar is tumbled then it will be a mess inside when you open it. So just tap it down and open slowly.

Usage – You will have to lightly tap the product into the lid. It is very fine and will fly every where. The filter is very small so you don’t have to worry about excess product, it comes out just right.

 

 

There are 6 shades available.Overall it sets your makeup beautifully.
