My Experience with MAC Swamped Modern Twist Kajal Liner:
The liner comes in a twist up pencil packaging which does not twist back, so you have to be careful about how much you twist up for application each time. The outer paper carton has all the details about the product. The bottom has a color-coded band which is deep green in this case, to help it locate easily in your stash. The cap shuts with a click and is hence very much travel friendly.
The texture is smooth and soft but does not crumble during applying on the lid or waterline. It does not irritate my sensitive eyes and glides smoothly on the lids and waterline without any tug or pull. Though there are micro shimmers in the shade, yet it is very much safe on the waterline. I do not wear contact lenses, so I would not comment on that. It is super pigmented and one stroke gives enough color; there is no need to swipe multiple times.
The shade “Swamped” is described as a deep khaki green and I could not agree more. It looks wonderful on the lid as well as on the waterline. It is gorgeous yet muted and wearable at the same time. If you wish to smudge it a bit, you have to do it immediately; once set it is not going to move a bit. The velvety texture adds to the beauty of the color.
Without any base or powder to top off, this kajal liner stayed on my waterline for more than 6 hours with no fading or smudging. On the lids, it stays till it is removed with a makeup remover. I like it more as a liner, but on days, I want a smoked-out look, I would apply it on the lower lash line and smudge it with a pencil brush.
