My Experience with Make Up For Ever #209 Fushia Pink Artist Plexi-Gloss Lip Lacquer

Packaging:
This gloss comes in a traditional lip-gloss tube. The tube is a little thicker than your average gloss and this product also features a unique applicator. The applicator is a paddle style instead of a doe foot. Though easy to use once you get a hang of I do think the big size will pose some problem for people with thin lips. You coat the lips like paint with this applicator and it is easy to get around the corners and applicator holds enough product.

Consistency & Feel on lips:
This gloss is much thicker in consistency than any other gloss I have used but it does not feel uncomfortable on the lips. It is hydrating to some extent in a way that it does accentuate any fine lines or dryness on my lips and makes them look even textured and supple. This gloss has a minimal tacky feel which is not bothersome.

Shade:
I have previously reviewed the shade 304 which is a vivid coral and this shade 209 is a bright  pink with a noticeable purple undertone. It is not too neon-ish hence it is very wearable. I have gotten many compliments when I have worn this lip color.This gloss comes in fantastic shade range of 35 colors. I have read people complain about the lighter colors being too sheer hence I was careful in picking the most opaque shades in the line. The shade 209 and 304 deliver about 85-90% opacity on my lips which is fantastic. Some shades in this line also have shimmer which I am not a huge fan hence I did not pick up those but if you like that look then more for you to love.

Staying Power:
It does have a very high glossy finish which is also long wearing. The shine stays on my lips for 2-3 hours but the gloss overall wears for 4-5 hours. It does leave a stain behind as it fades which is a quality I like. It does not bleed at all but does transfer minimally. It does survive through snacks and drinks but you will need reapplication after a full meal.

Overall, I do love these new  artist plexi-gloss. They deliver everything I was hoping for and hence I am very satisfied with this purchase. I will recommend them.

• Gloss is a bit thicker in consistency but that is what gives it long wear in my opinion.
• Lighter shades have poor pigmentation, be careful when you are out selecting a shade for yourself.
