Today I am reviewing the last variant from my Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner collection. I have previously reviewed the following shades for you: 4 Diamond Lagoon Green, 5 Diamond Turquoise Blue and 9 Iridescent Fuchsia. Let us see how this Iridescent Navy Blue performs.

Product Description:

How to Apply:

Packaging:
The product comes packaged in a typical liquid liner packaging. The good thing is that the tube itself and the top of the cap are colour coordinated with the shade of the product. This allows you to be able to reach for the one you want more easily.
The tube is quite thin. You screw to open the cap to find that the product has a felt tip. The tip is quite sturdy, enabling you to make clear, precise lines. As per the brand, the thinness of the tube/cap is to mimic the feel of a brush in the hand. The whole thing comes packaged in a black cardboard box – as in any other MUFE product. Overall, the packaging is efficient and effective.
My Experience with Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner 6 Iridescent Navy Blue:
Shade:
The shade, Iridescent Navy Blue, is exactly that – a navy blue with fine iridescence. When light isn’t falling on it, the shade would look like any other navy blue, but when the light catches it at an angle, it gives this grey/blue/silver sheen. Absolutely stunning! Being navy blue it isn’t too bright and in your face, like the other shades reviewed by me earlier. It is more subtle but still clearly visible.
This would have made a very nice change for people who are bored with their black liners if it wasn’t for the standard issue with the formula – it hurts like crazy if it enters the eye. So, it isn’t something which can replace my regular black liquid liner on my lashline. In the FOTD, it’s been used directly on the lash line. And boy, did it start hurting like crazy 15 minutes down when the liquid migrated into the eye! Also, the eye look hasn’t come out quite how I wanted so please be kind.
Texture:
The texture is quite liquid. The brand suggests you shake the product before using. This ensures the product dispenses out as a homogeneous mixture. Else, the pigment does separate from the base. The product applies smoothly. The pigment does not skip or clump together. You get a nice even line. Also, the base does not feather into my fine lines.
Considering this, the product definitely has a good formula for the application. However, as I mentioned earlier, this shade too stings like crazy if it enters the eye (even accidentally). Not, slight discomfort; it really, really hurts. You have no choice but to take it off along with your makeup.
The product dries out fairly quickly and is pretty much budgeproof once it has set. It will not move the entire day nor will it lose its shimmer or intensity. It is waterproof. It will not fade or smudge when it comes in contact with water. However, if it comes in constant touch with water and then you rub your eye, the liner will crumble and flake off in pieces. Also, unlike the teal shade, this does not stain the skin.
Pigmentation:
The product has excellent pigmentation. The shade and shimmer are such a homogenous mix – you cannot really see separate shimmer particles. You do not need to go over it twice to make the shade show up. A single swipe offers the full intensity of the shade.
Longevity:
Love the longevity of this. As I mentioned earlier, it stays put the whole day. It will not fade, it will not feather. It just doesn’t budge. It gives you full day wear. You need an oil-based makeup up remover to take it off at the end of the day.

• Stings badly if the product enters the eye/waterline are – a bummer – considering it is an eye product
• Tends to flake off when rubbed after coming in contact with water

I quite like this shade as it’s easily wearable. The fact that it stings is such a bummer. I do wish MUFE changes this formula soon and takes care of that aspect.
