When it comes to brushes, I am definitely not a rich person in the collection. I have few single brushes and a brush set, but the eyeshadow blending brush from the set was not up to my mark. I have longed for this MUA blending and eyeshadow brush for more than a year honestly. It is out of stock mostly, no matter you surf the website or explore the stores; but kab tak!!! Finally, I got hold of this or you can say this fell into my lap with my mom’s help. She brought it for me from UK. Let’s read why I wanted this one so badly, was it worth the wait??

Product description: A blending brush for shaping your eye make-up to perfection with powder and loose eye shadows, and its moulded shape is perfect for a soft colour application and perfect for a defined blended smoky eye. To achieve the perfect smoky eye the key is about blending and E3 is the perfect brush for blending and softening a smoky eye effect. When applying a darker shade to the crease blend in the darker colour, but keep dark colour below the crease. Now that you have the base on, it’s time to get the smoky effect. Using E3 blend in the colour starting at your lash line, blending upwards. Make sure to blend colour into the lash line so the eye liner disappears. Stop deep colour at crease with a windscreen motion. The key here is to blend, blend, and blend for that perfect smoky eye effect.

My take on Makeup Academy E3 Blending Eyeshadow Brush:

The brush came carefully bubble wrapped in my haul, though it already has safe packaging. The brush is enclosed in a plastic flap pouch; inside it is wrapped in a plastic sheet and a cardboard with necessary description about the brush. This pouch serves forever to carry the brush around. The black handle of the brush with unfading white labels make it look like a classy and expensive brush. The overall length of the brush is around 6 inch roughly. The thickness, shape and length of the handle are designed after thorough brain storming to ensure easy use and effective performance from the brush.

The bristles are black in color and made of synthetic material; a total cruelty free brush. They feel really silky and smooth. Bunched in roundness, they are trimmed in dome shape to make the blending efficient and precise. The handle fully supports me when I am doing the windshield wiper motion for my eyeshadow blending. For smoky eye looks, this one is matchless without exaggeration. It makes the work easier and faster. Also, I use it occasionally for soft shadow application and it doesn’t let me down. I have washed it three times (which I always do before writing a brush review), I observed no bristle shedding and dried quick too. The bristles perfectly retained their shape, silkiness and pattern after drying. I hate those brushes which shed; this one didn’t thankfully. The only caution you need to observe is not to roughly rub the bristles in the solution during washing procedure; just dip it, wash and there it is. The bristles are quite dense, really, so make sure to keep a light hand while blending until you become familiar with the brush. Let me give you a secret tip, you can also use this to highlight cheek bones with a loose highlighter and the fluffiness of the brush will do the job best. This tapered, soft, multi-purpose, dense brush is a must have; I completely love it. Let’s sum up the pros and cons of the brush.
