Hi Everyone,

I have been wanting to do this post from many days now. Since I gave a good bath to my brushes today, I thought I’d click the photos while they are still clean and pretty. 😀
After using a various kind of makeup brushes for many years, I have come to the conclusion that certain brushes work the best for certain makeup details. I thought I’d share them with you. It might help those who are starting their makeup or still building their makeup kits. 🙂
Best Concealer Brush : You’d find this fluffy round brush in eye makeup category. But this brush works THE best for applying concealer underneath the eyes. It is light, does not pull your under eye area and blends the concealer seamlessly.

Recommendations : MAC 224, Sigma E 40, Faces 106 Blending brush, Camel fluffy blender art brush
Best Eyeshadow Application Brush : These flat brushes work the best for packing on the color on lids. They are not too great for blending in the color. But when you want that intensity on color on lids, these work the best.
Recommendations : MAC 239, Sigma E 55, MAC 242, Colorbar 119, Camlin Hobby Brush No 8
Best Eyebrow Brush : These look similar to gel eyeliner brushes but these are thicker. These work best for a filling in the brows or even shaping the brows. The little angle works perfectly with the contour of the brows.
Recommendations : Sigma E 65, Vega Brush PB 08
Best Gel Eyeliner Brush : I have not been able to find a better gel eyeliner brush than this. It’s the bent eyeliner brush and this made me fall in love with the gel liners.
Recommendations : Inglot 30 T eyeliner brush, coastal scents eyeliner brush
Best Eyeshadow Blending Brush : These tapered fluffy  brushes are my favourite brushes for blending in the eyeshadows. You can also apply eyeshadow with these but I prefer them only for blending in the color. Must haves!
Recommendations : MAC 217, Sigma E 25,
Best Smokey Eye Brush : I cannot do smokey eye without these pointy pencil brushes. These are best for smudging the kajal and I use this brush almost daily.
Recommendations : MAC 219, Sigma E 30, Vega Eye Smudger Brush, ELF Professional crease Brush
Best Blush Brush : These are available in every makeup brand. I prefer the classic blush brush but there are those that come with an angle. Whatever you prefer. Â Blush brush is something you cannot do without.
Best Contouring brush : This is my very recent discovery. It is Sephora professional flat brush no 42. It is actually a blush brush but this works extremely well for contouring the cheek bones and jawline. Since it is a bit compact, it gives a very specific contour and does not go all over the place.
Best Cream Blush Brush : Although in most cases I prefer to use cream blush with my finger tips (tutorial HERE ) but sometimes I like to use a brush. I prefer a duo fiber brush because it gives that air brushed effect and helps control the color of super pigmented cream blushes.
Recommendations : Sigma F 50, MAC 187, MAC 188
Best Liquid Foundation Brush : Hands down Sigma duo fibre brushes. Review HEREÂ
Best Powder Foundation / Compact brush : The Body Shop Kabuki Brush. It’s beyond amazing. I always carry it with me . Review HERE
