Makeup for Business School Interview : Ask IMBB

I have to do a video essay for my B-School application, so I would like to ask you, what kind of make-up should i do in the video. I’ll be mostly wearing formals during the vid.

I don’t want to overdo anything, and am refraining from pink. I want to give them the appearance of “I am serious” but some people say they take good-looking girls..hehe. Who knows?
So how can I look good and not overdo?

Maybe I would be skipping foundation to not look shiny and all white white. I want to take their attention off my face to the content of my essay. Please can you help me?

Also can you please suggest how do I do my hair? I have medium length, silky but very very wavy hairs. Is a high pony a good idea for formals, as I don’t want to leave them open.

  1. If you are wearing Formals then you should go with half-tie in hairs & for make-up.. keep it as simple as you can.. don’t go for foundation .. just a black eyeliner with some kajal & pink gloss with some light pink eye-shadow..

i am working with MNC and girls do come for an interview on daily basis,, nd i dont forget to keep an eye on them.. he he he

    nd ALL THE BEST ..

    1. Thank You!!!

I am trying to stay away from pink, I look like a pocelain doll with pink!! :struggle: :struggle: :struggle: :struggle: :struggle: :struggle:
I can put up with peach, though! :cute:

  2. I agree with what Swati recommended. Apply some tinted moisturizer. If you have blemishes and dark circles, apply concealer as well on them. Follow this by compact, kajal, liner, mascara and tinted lip gloss! :).This way you can look natural and fresh. For hair, I go with Swati again…half-tie ins look great! :)) :)) Best of luck!! :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

  3. For your hair I guess straighten and leaving it loose and pinning up the fringe or bangs would look good.
You can apply concealer and use a nice compact for a matte look.
Neutral eyes from Ratis tutorial and a nice light peachy lipstick or gloss.
You can use a nice matte blush very lightly. Actually in my etiquette training (conducted by company) a little makeup was considered professional.
Chipped off nail paint is a turn off.
    Hope this helps :victory:

  4. Face ;Tinted Mois. or light Compact
    Eyes:Eye liner and MAscara
Lips:Tinted lipstich or Tinted lip gloss

Hair: The poker straight hair look with a high pony is really in.It makes you look very smart n professional. As you have wavy hair, you can iron it.

    Hope this helps 🙂
All the best :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

  5. Hello, :heh:
If you are looking for a formal look,Keep in mind that less is most often more. There is no need to feel as though you have to wear tons of makeup in order to look good. :nerd: Sometimes a natural apperance is really the best way to go,especailly at formal events.Try to stick with neutral colors.Earth tone shades of brown, gray, pink, purple and green are the best way to go if u desire to look as natural as possible for event.Experiment with different techniques before the day of event to get the idea of your overall look. Also, try to emphasize on one particular feature.Whether it’s your eyes, lips or cheeks.Focus mainly on these features and put minimal amount of makeup
    Hope this helps. :shy:

  6. Thank You so much everyone!

Reading all this, I seem to have made up my mind, what I have to do.
I’ll go for a matte look only, and I don’t really have any blemishes or visible dark circles so I think a tinted moisturizer must be good.
And I’ve also decided how to do my lips/eyes.
Maybe I’ll give blusher a pass or get a peachy matte shade.

I was soooo thinking about that same straight pony, now to I am definitely doing it.

Thankooooooo Again!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :victory: :victory: :victory: :victory: :victory: :victory: :victory: :victory: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:
