Continuing with my reviews on the Makeup Geek eyeshadows, this review will be on the shade “Beaches & Cream”.
About the Product:
Named after the velvety, warm skin of a peach, and the soft subtle sands on a beach, this addition to our collection is sure to be one you will love. This soft, delicate, matte peach color is perfect for summer. Use alone for a soft wash of color that is perfect for a day in the sun, or team it up with a dark shade for a dramatic look that is sure to turn heads. It also happens to be a great blending color to soften any harsh lines

My Experience with Makeup Geek Beaches and Cream Eyeshadow:
These eyeshadows come in the pan which you have to pop in a magnetic palette. I do like the flexibility this provides for customizing a palette based on your needs but this also means you have to shell out extra to buy the Z palette on top of buying the eyeshadow.
Shade and Finish:
Beaches and Cream is described as “Creamy Matte Natural Beige with Just A Hint of Peach”. This is probably my most abused shade from my Makeup Geek collection only because I use it all the time! It is the exact color of my skin hence you can understand the difficulty I had to get the swatch to show up. I use it literally before doing any makeup to set my primer and make blending of other shades over top easier.
While this shade might look very similar to “Peach Smoothie”, the latter is just a tad bit warmer and more peachy-orangey. You could mostly use them interchangeably like I do. I prefer using “Peach Smoothie” for when I am creating more warmer looks while “Beaches and Cream” is perfect regardless. This can also be used as a subtle matte brow bone highlight or as a transition to lighten and diffuse harsh edges.
Even though you cannot see the swatch, the pigmentation of this shade is good enough to add another layer of smooth color over top my primer base.
Texture and Blendability:
The texture of this eyeshadow is smooth and easy to work with. This shade was a bit more finely milled and loosely pressed which results in a bit of flyaway as you dip your brush in but this does not affect the performance.
I am thoroughly enjoying using these Makeup Geek eyeshadows. They definitely have that high-end feel in terms of ease of use and smooth texture. And I feel you just cannot beat this high quality for this price. I highly recommend this eyeshadow. I have not included an EOTD for obvious reasons as I cannot show this shade in action due to the fact it is always used to set my primer before I proceed with any eye look.
Pros of Makeup Geek Beaches and Cream Eyeshadow:
⦁ Affordable and buying individual shades helps you customize a palette exactly to your liking
⦁ Amazing high quality
⦁ Versatile shade
⦁ Perfect shade to set the primer
Cons of Makeup Geek Beaches and Cream Eyeshadow:
⦁ You do have to shell extra to buy a Z palette
⦁ This particular shade does make powder fly when you dip your brush in but it’s not a huge issue except for the fact that it makes my Z palette dirty
