Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Flamethrower and Americano Review

Today, I am reviewing two absolutely gorgeous eyeshadows from Makeup Geek – Flamethrower and Americano.

Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow Flame Thrower:

Makeup Geek describes this eyeshadow as a “true brightened warm copper with a foiled finish.” The description is apt. It’s a gorgeous metallic orangey copper powder eyeshadow. It’s unlike any eyeshadow that I have in my collection. The texture is almost like a pressed creamy pigment but it’s powder. It is super pigmented. You can use it, both with your fingers or with a flat brush. The best technique that I found for using this eyeshadow is by pressing it on the skin than swiping the color.

It’s so intensely pigmented that you don’t even have to use a damp brush to get the intensity. It makes for a gorgeous pop of color on the lid. The eyeshadow does not crease if you use a primer underneath. It does have a bit of a fall out, so I always use it before doing my face makeup. The strong pop of color stays pretty much for good 6-7 hours after which I feel it starts to lose its intensity. It is one of its kind eyeshadow and I would highly recommend it.

These foiled eyeshadows come in an array of colors. The ones that are reviewed on IMBB are Fantasy, High Wire, Pegasus, Nautica, and Drama Queen. Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Americano:

Americano is described as a dark brown with subtle purple undertones and a matte finish. It’s a gorgeous cool-toned brown with plum undertones. It’s deep dark matte eyeshadow that is so versatile and can be used on crease, all over the lid and also in combination with other eyeshadows to create that gorgeous smokey eye look.

It is a super matte eyeshadow. I find it hard to blend sometimes but that’s a concern I find with most matte eyeshadows. Still it’s not a toughie, add a tad bit more eyeshadow to smooth out any uneven-ness in your eyeshadow application. It is a gorgeous and a very versatile color. If you have green eyes, a brown like this can make your eye color pop and look even more stunning. I adore this eyeshadow. it’s very pigmented, does not crease and with a few more brush strokes is not bad to blend either. A definite lovely addition to your eyeshadow it.
