Continuing with my reviews on Makeup Geek eyeshadows, this review will be on the shade “Frappe.”
Named after one of our favorite guilty pleasures, this medium maple brown color will have you coming back for more. The demi-matte color has a creamy texture and glides on smoothly and evenly for a stunning finish. Ideal for the summer months for a soft wash of color or paired up with a darker shade for a perfect brown eye. This also makes a great transition color for darker skin tones.

My Experience with Makeup Geek Frappe Eyeshadow:
Packaging: This eyeshadow comes in a pan which you have to pop in a magnetic palette. I do like the flexibility this provides for customizing a palette based on your needs but this also means you have to shell out extra to buy the Z palette on top of buying the eyeshadow.
Shade and Finish: Frappe is described as a medium maple brown with a demi-matte finish. To me, it looks more of a milk chocolate brown with a neutral undertone. Compared to “Cocoa Bear,” which was visibly more warmer due to the red tone to it, Frappe is more of a softer and subdued sister of it – ideal for when you want a softer-looking crease while still adding definition and for more natural looking daytime appropriate looks.
On the website, it states that this has micro shimmer which I could not really notice in the swatch nor when applied on the eye. It has a matte finish.
Texture/Pigmentation and Blendability: Pigmentation of this shade is great though not as stark and strong as “Cocoa Bear” as it is easy to build it up to get an opaque layer. The texture is smooth, soft, and easy to work with and blends out like a dream.
Staying Power: It wears without creasing or fading for 8-9 hours with primer.
Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying using these Makeup Geek eyeshadows. They definitely have that high-end feel in terms of ease of use and smooth texture, and I feel you just cannot beat this high quality for this price. This shade is another hit for me which I would highly recommend.
