Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie Eyeshadow Review

Continuing with my reviews on Makeup Geek eyeshadows, this review will be on the shade “Peach Smoothie.”

This light peach/beige color has a soft matte finish which makes it ideal for blending out harsh shades or on the lower lid to help create a stunning neutral look

My Experience with Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie Eyeshadow:

Packaging:  These eyeshadows come in a pan which you have to pop into a magnetic palette. I do like the flexibility this provides for customizing a palette based on your needs but this also means you have to shell out extra to buy the Z palette on top of buying the eyeshadow.

Pigmentation/Shade/Finish:  Peach Smoothie is described as a light peach beige with a soft matte finish. This is a very warm-toned shade with a hint of orange to it. While this shade too is quite close to my natural skin tone, but the noticeably warmer undertone differentiates this shade from “Beaches and Cream.” It works great as a transition color paired with other warmer shades or to blend harsh edges and really brings together a whole look. You can also use this as a crease color to bring warmth to any eye look or can also be used to set the primer.

I wouldn’t really use this shade as an all-over lid color as it has a tendency to sheer out when blended and due to nature of a light shade like this, it yields only about 70-75% opacity unless you really pack it over a tacky base.

Texture and Blendability:  This shade was a bit powdery and resulted in lot of kick up when you dip your brush in, but it was still quite smooth and easy to work with.

Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying using these Makeup Geek eyeshadows. They definitely have that high end feel in terms of its ease of use and smooth texture and I feel you just cannot beat this high quality for this price. I highly recommend this eyeshadow.

• You do have to shell extra to buy a Z palette to put these pans in.
• This particular shade does make kick up powder hence can make your Z palette dirty easily.
