1. Removing Mascara

Getting straight to the point, your mascara never gets completely rubbed off in one stroke. You can see some mascara breakouts near your eye area when you wake up in the morning. This is because you have not removed your mascara completely, and remember partial cleaning is of no use. To remove your mascara completely before you go to bed, dip your cotton pads into olive oil or makeup remover and place them over your eye lids. Leave it undisturbed for 2-3 minutes and now you have clean eyelids.

2. Partial Cleaning

If you think you just have a layer of BB cream or a CC cream which does not needs cleaning before you hit the bed, you are probably making a big mistake. Whether it is a simple BB cream or a fair n lovely, they contribute in clogging your pores which may lead to acne and blackheads.

3. Leaving Your Hair Open While Cleaning

Tie a tight high pony before you start cleaning your face. Although this sounds to be a no brainer, open hair may obstruct the path of cleaning and your hairline is not exposed completely. Your hair covers the forehead part and hence you may miss out the surrounding area.

4. Removing Lip Colour

If you are wearing a bold colour, you find the colour starts withering away when you start with your cleaning regime. So it is advised to start cleaning your lipstick first so that the colour which spreads around can be easily removed while cleaning your jaw line and cheek area. You may dip a cotton ball in olive oil and then rub your lips. Olive oil is a great cleanser in itself.

5. Using Makeup Wipes

Do you really think using makeup wipes can help you in removing all layers of makeup set on your face? It’s wrong to just depend on your wipes to remove the makeup completely. Makeup wipes don’t remove makeup completely, so after cleaning with makeup wipes you can switch to cotton pads or balls soaked in makeup remover to completely remove your makeup.

6. Removing Your Eye Makeup First
This is the worst mistake made by all of us. If you are fond of eye makeup you can actually imagine the number of products you have used in that area; mascara, eyeliner, kohl, primer, eye shadows and what not. Leave this to be done at the end because when you start cleaning your eye, it never gets clean soon and makes the nearby area even more dirty. Start with your lipstick and end with the eyeliner.

7. Stop Rubbing

We hope you love your skin and use a good makeup cleaner. So, go gentle while removing your makeup with cotton pads. If the cotton pad is not dipped completely into the makeup remover, it may start rubbing against your skin.

Have a happy makeup removing!
