After the Shade “Vice” from Makeup Revolution Scandalous Collection, today I am reviewing the shade “Ruby” from Makeup Revolution’s Atomic Collection. Let’s see how it fared:

My Experience with Makeup Revolution Atomic Ruby Amazing Lipstick:

The lipstick comes in an ordinary glossy black tube with black cap. The cap has a sticker indicating shade name. The lipstick is bullet-shaped. The packaging is ordinary and I do not expect it to be incredibly luxurious for a budget-friendly lipstick like this. True to it’s name Atomic Ruby is a very bright and bold red shade. It is a classic red shade with pinkish hues. This shade looks just perfect on my fair skin tone. But this shade will look equally pretty on wheatish skin tones too.

Although, I prefer matte lipstick while picking up the bold shades. This is my first glossy red lipstick. The lipstick has a very mild vanilla fragrance similar to that which all Lakme lipsticks have.

Now, coming to the texture of the lipstick. The texture is so soft and creamy. It glides on the lips so smoothly without any tugging or pulling. The lipstick gives smooth, creamy and even finish to the lips. It feels comfortable on the lips. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. It gives a very nice healthy sheen to the lips. The lipstick does not bleed or feather at all. I have dry lips and this lipstick keeps my lips hydrated and moisturized.

The pigmentation is just wonderful. One swipe gives complete opaque coverage even on pigmented lips. So, you do not need to apply layers over layers to get full colour. The lipstick does stain a bit, so you need a good makeup remover to take off the product completely. The staying power is 4-5 hours only. But it does not give any patchiness. Overall, the lipstick is super fun and affordable. It is a good product at such a low price.
