My Experience with Makeup Revolution Can’t Escape Me Lip Power:

Let’s begin with the packaging of this lipstick. I absolutely love the packaging. This is a 2-in-1 product that has a lipstick and a lip-gloss in the same tube at different ends. This tube is black from one side while the other side having the lip gloss is transparent. One end has the lip gloss while the other one has a matte lipstick. I loved the fact that this lip gloss is also of the similar color as that of the lipstick. One end of the tube is color-coded that helps to spot the shade easily from my makeup stash. The shade name is also mentioned at the side of the lipstick tube.

The shade “Can’t Escape It” is a light pink shade of the lipstick. It is definitely a beautiful pink lipstick, but unfortunately, the shade is way too pale for my skin tone and it makes me look washed out. The lipstick alone looks kind of white on my lips, but it looks better with the lip gloss on it. Though, the shade is pretty, it is suitable only for very fair skin tones.

It is a perfect everyday shade for fairer skin tones. The shade is too light that it will wash out most of the Indian skin tones. Whether you carry it as matte or with glossy finish, it just looks beautiful. The lipstick alone looks perfectly matte while adding the lip gloss to it gives it a nice wet look. This is a perfect summery shade, which will suit fairer skin tones pretty well.

It has a very mild vanilla fragrance, which is non bothering and hardly noticeable. The pigmentation of the lipstick is average and buildable. The lipstick requires two-three swipes to hide my mildly pigmented lips well while the lip gloss gives a sheer wash of color to the lips that is not perfectly able to hide the pigmentation of the lips.

Texture wise, it is okay. The lipstick goes so smoothly over the lips without much tugging or pulling. Still, I prefer applying a lip balm underneath to prevent my lips from drying. The lipstick does not provide any kind of moisturization and hydration to the lips. The lipstick is pretty lightweight and feels comfortable on the lips. Being a matte lipstick, it clings to the dry parts of the lips badly and highlights them so much. So, it is mandatory to exfoliate and moisturize the lips well.

The formula of the lip gloss is also good. It is so soft and smooth. The consistency of the gloss is thick and creamy. It is non-sticky and feels comfortable on the lips. The lip gloss has quite a moisturizing formula, so it feels nice and comfortable on the lips. The lip gloss has small shimmer particles in it. These shimmers smear a lot and cling on to the lips even after the color has faded away.

The staying power is average. It stays on my lips for some 4 hours or so with a little fading. In the meantime, it settles into the fine lines of the lips. Overall, this product has just an average quality and I am really not much impressed with it.
