The dwindling number of reviews from my end is solely because I have loads of academic stuff going on. It’s tough to keep pace with the happenings, especially if you are a lazy person by heart. However, today, I am going to review a brow product from MUR. It is their Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Brow Kit in the shade “Bold is Best.”

My Experience with Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Brow Kit Bold is Best:

The packaging is really cute and sleek. The I Heart Makeup range comes in shiny black palettes with metallic magenta touch. This is same across all their products from this range. This kit houses 3 powders and a wax, along with a tiny angled brush and a small set of tweezers. There is a decent-sized mirror too. The kit shuts tight and is very travel safe. It comes in a pretty box with a transparent panel displaying the shades. Overall, no complaints.

“Bold is Best” palette is recommended for deep dark brows. I find it difficult to match shades to my eyebrows. Brown looks slightly off and black is just too deep and dramatic. Taupe and light grey works best to fill certain regions of my brows, giving them a natural finish.

The brow powders are brown, taupe and ash-grey. These are indeed very suitable for dark brows. The angled brush packs the powder, not too much but just enough to fill in the brows. It looks very natural on brows. I mostly use the taupe or ash colors, but if you have slightly lighter brows, brown will work fine. The powders are moderately pigmented, a quality which I feel is needed in brow products. This is to avoid your brows from looking too bold in one go and allows you the freedom of building it up. The angled brush is great for working in the arch, without any fall out or mess.

The wax is good, but I don’t generally use the wax. I comb the brows with a spoolie and apply a little wax if needed. A spoolie is something I really miss in this palette, as I like giving a neat arch by combing them thoroughly. The tweezers do help in picking out stray hair, however, there are two concerns. Firstly, the size is quite small, so you need to hold it right. The next the is that the edges are quite sharp, so you might accidentally pluck your skin. And it hurts! But once you get the hang of it, you might love it. I have a favorite pair of tweezers already and am not changing it anytime soon.
