My Experience with Makeup Revolution Highlighter Palette – Radiance:
This highlighter trio comes in a rose gold coloured reflective outer cardboard box. The actual palette is a shiny black coloured one. It has a huge mirror and three gorgeous highlighters inside. The packaging is classy and I love it. You have to be very careful with the palette because it is delicate and I’ve already ruined one of the highlighters. *Sob sob*
In this palette, there are three most gorgeous shades of highlights and I love teh shade selection. I think if you own this, you are sorted as far as highlighters are concerned. These three shades are perfect for Indian skin tones and they look very flattering too. Also, you can use these highlighters as eye shadows or on the inner corners too.
The highlighters are very soft to touch and are nicely pigmented. I can’t get over how beautiful they look and I keep swatching them often. They can be used as a subtle highlight on your face or bold and out there. You can build up the pigmentation for a strong highlight. There is something for every skin tone in this palette!
They stay on the cheekbones forever because once you apply, you don’t have to reapply. Also, the shimmers are very finely milled and you won’t feel the gritty texture of shimmers at all. They don’t cause a lot of fallout but my palette is messy because one of the highlighters broke!
Let’s talk about the shades now.
Shade 1: This is a deep dusty brown highlighter with hints of gold. It doesn’t look that brown on the skin though. It gives a soft highlight that looks flattering on almost all skin tones. The colour in the palette and the colour that transfers are two completely different shades, so don’t get intimidated to try.
Shade 2: This is my favorite shade from this palette. It’s a pearly white coloured highlighter that looks stunning on fair to medium skin tones. It has more of a pearly sheen to it that being shimmery white highlighter.
Shade 3: For all those who love their sun-kissed glow, this one’s for you. It’s a gold highlighter that will look fabulous on medium to dark skin tones. It just makes your skin look “lit from within.” It isn’t that dark shade, so you can pile it on.
