Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Death by Chocolate Palette Review

Hello dolls,

I am back with another review and this one is an eye-shadow palette. I was always sceptical about reviewing eyeshadows as I was never quite confident about creating eye looks and presenting them along with the review. But, thanks to the innumerable tutorials posted on IMBB, I have learnt a little something. I am not yet an expert and I still make mistakes, but at least I am trying (so, please be kind enough to tell me that the eye looks are gorgeous, even if they are not, just to encourage me!). 😀 This review is going to be on Makeup Revolution London I Heart Makeup Palette in the variant Death by Chocolate. Read on to know why I absolutely love this one.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Death by Chocolate Palette:

Packaging: This palette looks so beautiful and girly that you will definitely be tempted to buy this one. The palette comes in a normal clear front cardboard box with all details. And, inside the box, sits the melted chocolate bar. But you should not bite into it. Open it up and you will see 16 beautiful colours. A very good quality mirror is also attached. A transparent plastic film with the eyeshadow names written on it covers the eyeshadows and keeps them separated from the mirror. A two sided sponge applicator is provided as well. The palette is glamorous and can definitely be your choice for the trips.

Shades: This palette has frosty, semi-matte and matte shades. Most of these shades area warm-toned and look nice on every Indian skin-tone. The shadows complement one another really well. I am describing each shade separately here. The names are mentioned on the plastic film as you can see and also I have edited the pictures and mentioned the names. Well, the names are definitely funny and will make your imagination run wild.

Makeup Revolution Death by Chocolate Palette Shade Names

White light- This is a matte off-white shade, perfect for highlighting the brow bone.
Don’t Let go- It is a shimmery taupe colour with cool undertones. I use it to create very subtle smokey eye looks.
Lick Me- A pale pink matte shade, perfect for your daily eye makeup. You can wear it to office without looking OTT.
Fool’s Gold- This is a shimmery pale gold shade. It can be used in the inner corners of the eyes to open them up.
One More Bar- This is a cool toned matte brown. I apply it in the crease to create some depth. Also, it can be used to blend the black colour on the lid when you are trying some black smokey eye.
Pray for Me- This is a shimmery silver grey shade with a hint of copper that shows up in the swatch. It is good for highlighting. I often use it on the lid in the middle region to open up the eyes and make them look big.
Dipped- This is much like the previous one. However, it is a little toned down and there is less shimmer.
Tease Me- This is a beautiful shimmery charcoal grey shade. I use it with the All is Lost (black) shade to create beautiful smokey eye looks.

Break Me Up- This is a pale whitish taupe shade with a matte finish. This is another perfect shade for daily wear.
Consume Me- This is a muted shimmery grey shade but there is a hint of mud brown when swatched.
All is lost- A perfect matte black that can be used to create the classic smokey eyes.
Devour Me- A matte grey shade. But, when swatched, it shows a hint of purple.
Tear the Wrapper- It is a shimmery bronze shade. I use it often to create eye looks for wedding parties.
Love You to Death- This is a beautiful shimmery purple shade. I love using this colour both for day looks and night looks.
Set Me Free- This is a muted shimmery silver, used for highlighting or in the inner corner of the eyes.
Bring Down Angels- This is a matte cream shade that can be used on the lid with other colours or on the brow bone for highlighting.
Makeup Revolution Death by Chocolate Palette Shades

Pigmentation: All the shades are pretty much pigmented. One or two swipes give the true colour.

Texture and Quality: All the shades are silky, smooth and they blend like a dream. Even the shimmery shades do not look patchy on the eyes. All the shades feel very light on the eyes. The shimmery shades blend effortlessly to give the perfect shiny finish. They do not settle into the fine lines or crease, even after hours of application. The shades never irritate the eyes.

Staying Power: I have oily skin. So I use a primer and compact to create the base for eye makeup. The shades stay for 7-8 hours that way after which they evenly fade out. The staying power of the matte shades is comparatively better. All shades can be removed easily using a makeup remover and cleanser.
