Makeup Revolution I Heart Revolution Peach and Glow Palette Review

Summer is finally here and I needed some peach blushes in my collection. When I found out that my favourite drugstore brand, Makeup Revolution, has a beautiful palette with a peach gradient blush and complementary highlighters, I just went ahead and bought it. Revolution Beauty is the mother brand of I Heart Revolution; I Heart Revolution range features cute and collectable makeup. Their “Peach and Glow” palette is described as a ‘highlighter and illuminator duo’. Without further ado, let’s see how this one fared.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution I Heart Revolution Peach and Glow Palette:

Packaging:
The product is enclosed in a cute rectangular box which is in the shape of a melting peach-coloured chocolate bar. This packaging is seen in other eyeshadow palettes of Makeup Revolution as well. This is one of those products you might buy just because of the packaging.

The palette has a small mirror and this is one of the best things about Makeup Revolution products – they generally have a mirror in their palettes. The palette is compartmentalised into two sections: the highlighter section and the gradient blush section. The entire packaging is a visual delight and very travel-friendly due to its small size. There are no application brushes provided, so you will need brushes for your own.

Texture, Pigmentation and Lasting Power:
The texture of both – the powder highlighter and the powder blush – is very smooth. Both the sections are really pigmented and you just need a single dab of the product on your brush. They are really easy to blend and do not accentuate fine lines or pores. The highlighter is in a gradient of light gold and peach and the blush is also in a gradient of light to dark peach shades. The blush is shimmery and I absolutely love it.

Because the blush is in a gradient, it gives you a lot of options. You can apply the blush in a nice flush: tap on the lighter colour on cheeks and then the darker colour wherever your blush ends on your face. You can also choose lighter or darker variations of the blush based on your skin tone.

For a small palette, it really offers a lot. The light gold section of the highlighter goes really well with my skin tone and gives a nice luminous touch to the skin. The peach variation of the highlighter can be used by people with cool or neutral undertones or to highlight the arch of your eyebrows.

I was surprised with the lasting power of this product; I didn’t expect it to last long because it is supposed to be a cute and collectible product but both – the highlighter and the blush – look good at the end of 8 hours. The blush doesn’t look patchy at all and doesn’t fade. However, cream blushes fare better in summers.

Overall:
This product has surpassed my expectations and I am really impressed with the packaging, the shades and the lasting power of this product.
