I did a haul recently of some eyeshadows from Makeup Revolution. This is the makeup range of which I have almost no products. So, I decided to add to my kitty some eyeshadows from this affordable brand.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution London Base Mono Eyeshadow:

I will begin with the packaging of the eyeshadow which is simple and apt for the price charged. The eyeshadow comes in a black rectangular pan with a clear flip lid. There is no applicator provided. The lid closes with a click. What I really like about the packaging is the fact that it is extremely sturdy and travel friendly. The quantity of the product is amazing for its price. At the back of the pan, the ingredient list is printed.

Base eyeshadow

“Base” is a beautiful light champagne shade. It is subtle and yet bright enough to make your eyes pop a bit. It is a versatile shade, fantastic for everyday look, or to highlight your evening look. It can also be used to highlight the inner corners of the eyes. The pigmentation of this eyeshadow is amazing. One swipe will give the true colour as in the pan.

The staying power of this eyeshadow is pretty decent. As I am not yet into eye primers, this one stayed on my non-oily lids for a good 4.5-5 hours without a primer.

Makeup Revolution London Base Mono Eyeshadow

It applies very smoothly and has a satiny texture. Despite its shimmery finish, it does not feel gritty at all on the lids. It blends easily and does not settle into fine lines nor does it crease.

A drawback of this eyeshadow is that it has fallout issues and also it contains parabens.
