My Experience with Makeup Revolution London I Heart Makeup Golden Goddess Triple Baked Highlighter:
I have become kind of obsessed with the highlighters and golden highlighters are my favorite for the coming festive season. I had heard some great reviews about these highlighters and bronzers from I heart makeup line. So, finally I had decided to try some products from it.
Let’s begin the review with the packaging of the product, which was love at first sight. I actually loved the packaging. The shape of the highlighter box looks cute. I was attracted towards the heart shaped box. The highlighter does not come in any pan or palette, instead it comes in a very strong heart shaped cardboard box. This box is quite strong and sturdy enough. Inside this box comes a white plastic pan that bears the highlighter powder. The cover of the box has the entire brand and product related details printed on it, in cute metallic pink fonts. The packaging is beautiful and feminine. The back of this box has some other information about the product. This box comes in a white cardboard packet that is not very strong. The packaging is medium sized and fit for travel purposes. There is no mirror or applicator attached with the packaging but it is not a con for me. Overall, I love the packaging.
“Golden Goddess” is a beautiful golden highlighter shade, that has finely milled golden shimmers in it. The shimmers are non-chunky and does not look gaudy. The beautiful golden sheen looks very beautiful on my face. It will suit Indian skin tones very nicely. This highlighter shade is great for weddings and festivals for a bright and glowing skin. The shade is gorgeous and adds nice luminescence to the skin. It goes so perfectly with my skin tone without looking ashy. But, if you go overboard with the highlighter, it might make your face glow like a disco ball since the pigmentation is nice. So, you need to be extra careful while applying this highlighter to your face. The pigmentation of the highlighter is decent. The color is easily buildable. 3-4 swipes are good enough to make the highlighter prominent. The shimmers blend in so well. It never highlights the dry patches of the skin at all. I have open pores and this highlighter does not emphasize my skin pores. It suits my sensitive skin tone well and never broke me out.
The texture of the highlighter is fine but feels a little powdery in nature. Though, it is smooth and glides easily on the skin. It blends beautifully into the skin and gives a natural glow to the skin. Though, the formula is slightly powdery or chalky but there are no major fallout issues with this highlighting powder. primer It lasts for 5 hours easily on my oily skin without any primer underneath. It lasts for 7-8 hours with a good primer underneath. The shimmers stay at place until I touch my face. Once, I touch my face the shimmers budge a lot, that I do not want to happen. So, I try to avoid touching my face with this highlighter on my face.
