Packaging:
It comes in a rose gold outer packaging that is made of cardboard and has an open portion to display the shade of the product. While the immediate packaging of the product is standard with a twist open doe foot applicator. The container is sturdy and made of plastic that minimizes the chances of breakage.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution London Say Yes, It’s What We Do Best Ultra Velour Lip Cream:

I am dividing my experience in three parts for the convenience of all you lovely readers.

Shade:
The shade is to die for! I have never seen such a beautiful shade of brownish red. It is absolutely lovely, not dull and boring like other similar colours available in the market. It suits my dark complexion very well. At last I have found a shade that is flattering for my skin tone. Apart from dark complexion, it will suit all the other skin tones very well too. The shade is perfect for all occasions. You can wear it to Indian ceremonies, night outs, office and work. For work and office I would suggest that you blot your lips after wearing it. But, if you are dusky like me, do not bother with the blotting. It is an advantage of dusky skin tone that it can carry deep and dark colours quite easily without looking too bold. This shade is one of those classic colours that never go out of fashion. I prefer it over the trendy pink, orange and other bright shades that are ruling the market currently.

Texture and Finish:
The texture of this lip cream is amazingly smooth. When I apply it to my lips, it feels like butter. It glides on really smoothly. One swipe is enough to deliver opaque colour to my pigmented lips. But, I apply two coats for complete coverage. Its texture feels very comfortable to wear an is very light. On application, it feels like a much lighter and more pigmented version of a traditional lipgloss. I am not used to wearing lipsticks. One can say that I dislike them for the cast like feeling. Even a person like me loves to wear this lip cream. Makeup junkies will love it for sure!

The finish of Say Yes, It’s What We Do Best Ultra Velour Lip Cream is best described as a light cream matte finish. When it is applied, the finish looks like a low shine gloss, but after a little while it settles down to a creamy matte look. I like the finish very much. It’s not drying like matte lipsticks or too shiny like glosses. It does not settle into the fine lines of lips either.

Staying Power:
It lasts up to 3 to 4 hours if I don’t eat or drink anything. But if I do, I have to reapply it. It can be a nuisance for some ladies, but personally I don’t mind. I love the buttery feel of this lip cream on my lips. The worst thing about this lip cream is that it transfers badly if I don’t blot it. If I don’t, I have to be extremely careful during the first 20 minutes after application or it will stain my teeth. The Ultra Velour Lip Cream does not bleed or feather. And, its smell is amazing. A true vanilla fragrance that is better than Nyx Matte Lip Creams.

Please note all the pictures were taken in natural light. The shade is looking kind of pinkish, but I assure you that it is a true brownish red.

Yes, I will because it is a good lip colour. The only drawback is its low lasting power and that it transfers. But, I can compromise with that for the amazing qualities of this lip cream. It delivers what it claims.
