My Experience with Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder:

I have to say I am in love with it. All throughout the festivities here in Maharashtra, I was wearing this for baking and setting my foundation. This sets my makeup for more than 5 hours. Yes, only those with very oily cheeks might show some traces, but otherwise, this has been a rockstar. The powder is almost like a talcum but only very yellow. It is perfect to hide some pink and grey undertones in my skin. This bakes the concealer and also helps to highlight the contoured area underneath the jawline. The powder is not gritty at all, it feels like talc and it also does not feel too thick or thin. It blends and sits on the skin wherever I need it. For under-eye area, this is great since it also adds brightness to the skin. This is not over-the-top, so I still need highlighter for myself.

I would also like to point out that since I have oily skin, this works for me in Pune weather. If you have dry skin, this will definitely feel cakey and add a layer to your skin. I like to mattify foundation with this powder and set it, but if your foundation is luminous, this will do the opposite for you. It will also cling to dry patches. For me, a solution is to spray a setting spray over this so it does not feel patchy in anyway.

Apart from that, I love this powder for skin, remember it does not camouflage pores or scars. I don’t mind the jar; I shake some on a cap or palette and use a big fluffy brush for face and precision small brush for under the eyes.

Pros of Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder:

  • Smooth as talc.
  • Sets my concealer and foundation for more than 5 hours easily.
  • Hides my red undertones with the yellow tone in it (which they claim).
  • Will last me a long time.
  • Works as a brightening and setting powder for me.

Cons of Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder:

  • On dry skin, this might look patchy.
  • You might need a setting spray to even out that patchy problem.
  • Many may not want the yellow tone in it.
  • Jar might be cumbersome for many who love compacts.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder?
Yes, for oily skin and skin that wants some correction of grey or red tones, this is great. This makes your makeup last much longer than a compact. I can see myself buying it again.
