Makeup Revolution has been creating buzz in the beauty world for a while and I could not miss getting on the bandwagon. I picked up two lip colors from the range, one from the regular line and one from the matte range(review coming up). Here is the review on the shade Make It In The City from the regular finish in Iconic Pro range.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution Make It In The City Iconic Pro Lipstick:
The packaging looks very similar to our beloved Mac lipsticks. Difference being it has rose gold inner holder instead of silver and has a color coded base with a color coded sticker as well, which has the name of the lipstick. It comes in an outer paper carton which has a few details in rose gold font as well. The ingredients are mentioned on the outer paper carton along with the manufacturing details and price.
The texture of the lips color is more of a gel finish and not creamy. It has striking resemblance with the slim gel lipsticks by Inglot in terms of texture and consistency. To get the real pigmentation, you need to swipe the lip color at least twice. It doesn’t feel heavy on the lips which is a pro.
The shade is a bright happy fresh pink with blue undertones, ideal for the spring season. It is quite a common shade but the lightweight texture is definitely worth mention. There is a faint caramel fragrance to the lipstick which isn’t bothersome and stays for a while before vanishing. It is a very wearable shade of pink for various age groups and skin tones. It pairs well with variety of eye makeup and outfits, so is a safe pick.
The staying power is a bit low. It stayed on my lips for 3-4 hours with a bit of fading due to food/fluid intake without any lip liner or base. After the color fades, there is a pink stain left behind which I dislike personally. Though it is a pro for some, for me it looks a bit cheap and weird. It has to be removed with a proper makeup remover for clean lips. Overall it a pretty shade of pink with nice texture and is mostly available online with discount. There are lot of shades available both in regular and matte finish, so you can pick and choose as per your liking.

Such a lovely shade ROSH. 😀 I was expecting this range to perform better. :/
