My review for the week would be on the ‘Must be Strong Lip Gloss Tube’ from Makeup Revolution, London. I am not exactly happy about the product despite being a gloss lover. Continue reading to know more about this sheer gloss.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution Must Be Strong Amazing Sheen Lip Gloss:

This product from Makeup Revolution definitely disappointed me and being a gloss lover, I surely had my hopes pinned a little high. The claims are not true; especially the non-sticky part is certainly not. The color of these glosses are mostly sheer except for two shades maybe. It would be the magenta pink that is ‘Baby Try’’ and a purple gloss, ‘Move A Little Closer’. I thought ‘Must Be Strong’ would score in terms of being the third best, but unfortunately it did not. It is affordable, but it is no different from the Lakme’s FS sheer glosses except for the price and quantity. Also, the only one good thing about the gloss overall that appealed to me is the finish. It is sheer and imparts a mirror like pearly shine and therefore it does not look like as though your lips are loaded with a pack of a pale shimmery lip color.

The consistency of this gloss is pretty thick, but the unsettling, never ending sticky texture presents the biggest problem as far this lip gloss tube goes. It would not appeal to anyone as we all know that the typical problem with a gloss would be of anything and everything sticking to our lip; especially your hair sticking to the lips is the worst fear from a gloss and that why this gloss is a big no for me. The staying power of the gloss is typical and so low that it lasts a drink and maximum a snack.

This gloss is not amazing to me even as far as the color goes as I was looking for an ounce of red even in the sheer sense, which is not the case. If you see, it is a pretty cotton candy pink and in fact when I squeezed the tube, to be honest I was a little happy to be find it to be candy pink. But, once you smear it on the lips, the magic is gone. You can see the difference of the color on the fingertips, hand and lip swatches. It would give you a clear picture. If you are open to experimenting like me, go for this gloss else it is not worth buying . Add to it your cart if you are buying a bunch of goodies to stash it in your vanity if not do not bother skipping this.

The fragrance or flavor of the gloss was also disturbing. It carries a synthetic, mild, soft rose aroma to it. Although it does not disturb my nose in the way of being a very strong smell, it does not appeal to my senses, the synthetic flavor that it carries with it.

Now, the other serious issue that I see with this lip gloss tube is that all the information is on the label that comes in a sticker form which gets removed in no time. You have only the shelf life, price and name on a separate label stuck to the tube. Otherwise, the net weight of the product and the ingredients are still missing. Overall, as a gloss lover, an honest note from my end would be that I find this gloss tacky and nothing to rave about as even the reapplication part is messy when you have your finger tips. Just carry your dry tissues around and use a liner, play around with an ounce of this gloss over a lipstick, if you still opt for it and I have listed the other small pros to be able to make peace with, if you already own one. 😛

• Does not stain your lips with flecks of shimmer or dust
• Easy to build and apply
• Does not heavily transfer, although it is very sticky
• Does not bleed
• Easy to reapply
• Would not suit medium skin toned beauties, if worn on its own

Cons of Makeup Revolution Must Be Strong Amazing Sheen Lip Gloss:

• The color is exactly what it looks like in the tube
• Uncomfortable, sticky, unsettling texture
• Carries a synthetic rose like fragrance to it (although it does disturb, some may not prefer it)
• Ingredients not mentioned (even on the official site)
• The name is mentioned on a sticker label which can be taken off
• The net amount of the product is not specified
• Low staying power, 2-4 hours that can last a drink and a snack (fades from the time of wearing the shade)
• Sheer gloss does not suit pigmented lips
• Tacky gloss that leaves a forever sticky feeling behind on the lips, making reapplication difficult

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Makeup Revolution Must Be Strong Amazing Sheen Lip Gloss?
No, I would not repurchase this gloss again for its obvious tacky texture and I would recommend you to skip it. If you are open to experiment, I would suggest that you spend a euro on it, else not!

Verdict:
‘Must Be Strong’ is a disappointment!
